Can it be placed on frame with slats?

I would say no. Some bed frames wooden or medal and have prices that can poke and create holes during the use on a frame. Medal can have sharp points and wood can have prices that are shaped and when applied to the air mattress will probably deflate and puncture it.

I need a replacement. Mine won't hold air through the night even after weeks of using it?

Does the full measure exactly 54" wide? Can I put it in a 52" wide space?

Mine is a Queen size, when it's fully inflated is actually wider than the regulation queen size measurements. To fit the mattress into a fitted queen sheet I either deflate it and slip the sheets over the corners, or I use a king bottom and tuck the extra under on one side. I should think your fitting the 54" full size into 52" space would work by not inflating it until you have it in space and then fill it with the air. Its only going to fill to the allowed area its in.....might not be as firm as you want? But if there is no frame on the 52" area , the 54" fully inflated mattress is only going to be an inch wider on each side.
