Germination was about 50-50 for the seeds that the ones that did come up did quite well

Great seeds. Every one I planted sprouted (minus one that must have been eaten by a bird or feral child). Did I let them soak in water before planting? No. Did I read the package before planting? Also no. Do I know what I’m doing? Absolutely not. Of the 3 initial sprouts, planted in early May, 2 were planted properly and one was planted in the tiniest hill one has ever hilled (see point 1: I have no idea what I’m doing). After sprouting, the one in the baby hill was moved to a proper hill after a week or so where he made camp. While his fellow soldiers consumed the garden, he fought to catch up. Unfortunately, my early thrivers succumbed to a June heat wave brought down upon the fertile lands of southern Iowa by Satan himself. Perhaps if I had mulched, they may have been spared, but their deaths were not in vain. I mulched my baby sprout with lawn clippings from the mower deck. I bestowed upon him the gifts of used coffee grounds and egg shells while the dying leaves of his brethren succumbed to the watermelon vines. The watermelon have now occupied the territory, and I have allowed their invasion. Meanwhile, my baby sprout fought back. I have named him Goliath. Goliath decided to take on the entire group project himself. He is occupying nearly 20’ of space in one direction and another 15’ of space in another direction. He’s also invaded watermelon territory, shooting vines across the invaders and reclaiming the ground lost by his brethren. He’s considering occupation of the corn territory as well. Goliath will not stop. The storm that blew over my tomatoes and damaged much of my corn didn’t remotely phase him. The weeds have been granted amnesty due to the watermelon and the fact that I’m not that good at Twister. Does Goliath care? Absolutely not. We’re now in mid-August and quickly approaching pumpkin bulking season. Goliath missed that memo. He is sitting 2 pumpkins that are pushing 75lbs, AND HE IS PRODUCING MORE FEMALE FLOWERS. He sat 2 more pumpkins last week! Am I encouraging this? No. Am I discouraging this? Also no—Goliath will do as he pleases. I planted one more seed in late June, and that big max is thriving also, though he will never compete with Goliath. The baby big max is fruiting like a champ, and I’ve already removed 4 baby pumpkins from his vines. So, back to Goliath. I decided that since the big max experiment was a success, I would look into Atlantic Giant seeds on Amazon. I looked at pictures of pumpkins produced from their seeds. Then I showed Goliath, and he laughed in their faces at the tiny pumpkins. I absolutely recommend these seeds. If you show them even the tiniest bit of attention, they will not disappoint. Hopefully I’ll remember to update this with photos of Goliath’s children at harvest, but knowing me, I’ll probably forget. 😅

These seeds arrived as expected. It says 20 seeds, but I counted 18. So if you're a stickler to the description, you might be disappointed. I put the seeds in a small damp napkin and then sealed it in a ziplock bag. I placed them on the window sill in indirect sunlight before a long busy weekend. 5 days later, I can back and about half the seeds sprouted. I decided I'm going to wait a few more days to see if more sprout. Either way, I'll plant them all and hope for the best.

Ordered and planted 3 packets of these twice, so far one plant came up. First time wasn't sure but after the second time I'm pretty sure these seeds are no good. I have four other varieties in our garden and all others came up good. Isn't that I don't know what I'm doing

**UPDATE** It’s 8-31-22 and I have 15 pumpkins growing so far! One is distinctly bigger than the rest but they are moving fast! Although there is one or two plants that did not thrive (which could be because of our dog running over them lol) they are doing awesome! I added more pictures. It’s hard to tell from the picture but all of the seeds have popped up above the dirt so far! We’ve had awesome weather here which is really helping these babies grow. I also may add that I did not soak my seeds more than an hour (only because I’m impatient) before planting. I planted on 6-18-22 and did not see growth until 6-30-22. Everyday these babies get bigger and thrive! Can’t wait to transport these into the dirt soon!

Very pleased! I soaked the seeds overnight in a damp paper towel and they sprouted about five days after planting. They are now about a week in and growing very nicely!

The rabbits enthusiastically enjoyed the vines, chewing through the main stem ensuring no chance for pumpkins. So, a disappointment for me, but a win for the rabbits. Median rating: 3 ⭐

The pumpkins are growing by leaps and bounds .cant wait to see the end product.
