Super easy and clean oil changes!
Wonderful device for my 2013 Suburban with 5.3L. Prior to this, the oil would come out fast and often overshoot the pan (that is my fault for not calculating pan placement) and often would get on the cross members. After installation, I have a predictable flow going straight down. Does drain a little slower, bit way less messy. Might add 2-3 minutes to to the drain time. I also purchased the optional screw on cap and lock for extra security. Never a problem tho.While the fluid os draining, I use the extra time to prep... lubricate filter gasket, perform under carriage inspection, etc. The cleanliness and predictably od the oil stream is absolutely wonderful! Highly recommended for side mounted drain plug.

Excellent Build Quality, Super Convenient.
These are an excellent build quality and appear very corrosion resistant. I am in California and wasn't particularly worried about corrossion in general but bought a threaded on cap to use instead of the 90 degree elbow.There are hose caps that could be placed on the elbow for the same purpose in case that meets your needs.This doesn't drain quite as fast as an unplugged hole but it is fast enough AND much more tidy. I use this primarly to pull an oil sample for used oil analysis.With the 90 degree hose end, you can simply connect a hose and drain to the container of your choice. Way cleaner and easier, especially if you are space limited and lack a full shop.

leaks oil after a few years of use
poor design or poor materials. My truck had an oil leak, so I investigated and it is dripping from the valve. I would not recommend this and suggest you buy from a reputable store like NAPA as this one might be a knock off. My wife's car has a similar valve purchased from Amazon and today the shop said it was leaking, I will investigate this one tomorrow.

High Quality Product with One Annoyance
Product looks and feels high quality. Lever is secure in the closed position, yet easy to operate with a single finger.I knocked one star off because there was no beveling on the end, so it was an absolute pain to get it started into the oil pan without cross threading. I even compared it to the oil plug a few times to make sure the threading was correct. I eventually got it started, and everything was easy from there. Hopefully, I should never have to do it again, so it was a minor annoyance.

Neatest thing since sliced bread
So I was a technician for about 35 years, first on BMW and then Subaru for a couple years.This is the Third easy drain I have purchased. First for my Ford flex, then for my Subaru Crosstrek, and now for my big Ford transit.The Ford flex gets its oil (changed every 7500 miles I installed it a little over Four years) 40,000 miles ago you do the math-no leaks at all, clean as a whistle, and I can reach under to change the oil using a low profile drain jack required.Same thing with the Subaru, however I drive the hell out of the Subaru so I have absolutely no idea how many times I've changed the oil and filter in it but it's been a lot, 20? 25 times? Same deal works as well as the first day I installed it.And now I've installed one on my transit. And with the 90° angle and a piece of silicone hose now when I change the oil it won't splash all over the subframe and the inside of the right hand tire. And again I can slide right under and change the oil no jack required.Basically what I'm saying is these are awesome and a must have. Not only for ease of use but it saves wear and tear on the threads in the drain hole especially on aluminum Oil pans. Which makes these well worth the money.
