Fellowes Neutron Plus 12" Rotary Trimmer (5410102), Black, Silver

This trimmer works great and has some very nice features! It includes other blade cartridges that lets us perforate, score for folding lines, or cut in a wavy lines...in addition to cutting in a straight line of course! The movable plastic piece to the left of blade bar does a nice job at holding small pieces of paper to keep it stable while cutting. Something I hadn't seen before in a cutter was the way the blades came in cartridges. When not in use, they fit nicely in the front of the cutter. When you want to change one, your fingers never come in contact with the actual blade. The blade is only engaged when you push down on the yellow cutting element.

Good performance

I bought this trimmer as I have been using a borrowed guillotine type, and I liked the idea of having a blade that will score paper as well as one that will cut (plus a couple of others). I used the straight blade to trim some 5x7 photos. The edges came out fuzzy instead of clean and crisp, and even when the photo was lined up perfectly, the cut wasn't straight. Apart from failing the basic requirements of any trimmer, the Neutron Plus has no grid on the base, so attempts to get a straight cut aren't that easy. I tried a number of different things to try and improve the cut: varying the pressure on the blade, the gripper bar, etc, but nothing worked. I had the same problem with the scoring blade: seriously out of true. I am still looking for a replacement trimmer. (BTW, Amazon customer service was excellent and I received a refund).

Almost impossible to figure out where the cut is going to be as it is so far from the edge guide and the cut wheel wiggles when you cut so much ot always a stright line.

This is a Great product if you want precision, exactly does the job, and its extra features and safety works great for me and my family, even use it for office works

You have a description for a 19" trimmer, and I end up with a 12" trimmer? Different part number from what's in description and on product. Highly upset

I sent it back. The cuts were crooked and raggedy.

Utter Garbage. Doesn't remotely cut straight lines - the knife blade I assume digs into the rubber and alters the blade direction causing wobbly cuts. Also no cutting line guide on top of the item being trimmed - the dotted line is underneath the paper therefore you have to guess where the wobbly cut will be. Ended up throwing it out and using scissors instead.

This is a strange trimmer. For one, it doesn't have a grid. Two, the blade is straight - but doesn't line up with the cutting mat. This can be annoying to line up for a straight cut - luckily, on the cutter head is a small indent to which you can use to somewhat lineup your page. This is not for detailed or complex cuts - only rough cutting. The other blades, such as the perforated blade and the wave blade are great. The small translucent paper holder only holds papers when there is a lot of them. The trimmer is safety oriented and it shows. Otherwise, it preforms somewhat good cuts but has trouble getting through more then even 4-5 sheets, despite saying it can handle ten. I can see the cartridges for the blades being an annoyance to replace. The only reason you would want this is if you wanted the additional blades, otherwise, your better off with another cutter.

Guillotina para uso no profesional, orientada a estudiantes y uso domestico. Calidad de primera y cortes precisos. Hay que mantener el brazo firme para obtener ese corte exacto.

No le sirven bien las navajas y se ve usado el producto >:-@

Debe Uno Cortar Bien a La Primer Pasada De Lo Contrario Si Regresas La Cuchilla, El Corte Lo Hace Un mm Fuera Del Primer Corte. En Lo Particular No Cumplió Con Las Expectativas Que Tenía Del Producto y Por Eso Lo Regrese
