BEST CASE OUT THERE!!!
Wow!! This case is AMAZING!!! I absolutely LOVE it!! I don't normally write reviews, but I had to for this case! I ordered it as a Prime Member and was able to get it in today, the exact same day I ordered it, which was VERY nice! I did the 30 minute water test that is recommended in the instructions, WITHOUT my iPhone 6s Plus in it yet! Boy, was I glad I read and followed the instructions about that! The reason being is because after the first 30 minute test, I found water in the case! I thought I bought a lemon, but upon further inspection, unbeknownst to me, there was one edge of the phone that I had not properly snapped all the way shut. Well, as you can imagine, that was the reason water got in. I would have ruined my phone had I first tested it with it inside! It sure does pay to actually READ the instructions! Lol!! So, after drying it all up, I again tested it a second time for any leakage, of course after double checking all was sealed tightly this time. After the second 30 minute test, it was bone dry inside! Not a drop of water to be found!!! I need a very sturdy, virtually indestructible case, because I am handicap and use a walker, and I have major balance issues. As a result, I tend to drop my phone A LOT! I have been looking for the perfect case for a few months now. I had settled for the OtterBox Defender, because of it's reputation for intense protection. However, I was NOT pleased with it at all! For starters, I absolutely hated how HUGE the OtterBox is!! It is like carrying around a BRICK!! NO THANK YOU!!! Second of all, I had to remove the plastic screen off of the OtterBox, because it has so much give to it and did NOT sit flush against the screen at all. It was VERY difficult to use my screen without pushing hard and getting frustrated each time! After I removed the screen, I made sure I used a glass screen protector instead. I have used the Zagg brand for awhile now and it has saved my screen MANY times! And whenever it gets cracked, all you do is contact Zagg and the send you out a new one each time! All you have to pay is shipping (which is under $5) and then you send your broken one back. I must have done this at least four times already! As I said, I drop my phone A LOT! Anyhow, I am so excited about my Lifeproof Fre for my iPhone 6s Plus! Even though it says to remove all screens, I thought I might just give it a try with my Zagg glass screen protector I already had on, just to see how it would work, again since I need as much phone protection as possible!! Anyhow, I am very happy to say that it works FANTASTIC!! It is still EXTREMELY sensitive to the touch!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this case!!! By far, my absolute favorite! I will look no farther! It is also EXTREMELY thin and light weight, especially compared to the MASSIVE brick of the OtterBox! It took me so long to decide on this case, because of the high cost! But now, I can honestly say it was definitely worth the cost!!! I only wish I had bought it first instead of last!! You won't go wrong spending the extra money to purchase this case. After all, it is worth it and makes sense to spend more on a quality case to protect an $800 phone!! You really do get what you pay for.

Love it!
When I purchased my iPhone two years ago, the sales guy showed me the different cases for it. The only case they had that was waterproof was Lifeproof. I was not sold on the color (black with gray line), but having a waterproof case did sell me on it. I wanted something with bling but decided on the Lifeproof. Fast forward two years. Last week, I accidentally spilled a soda on my phone. I picked it up and cleaned the mess along with dried the phone case (which I’ve done before without a worry of my phone being ruined). I kept on with my day. I was checking my email when I noticed the screen had a weird spot on it. I tried scratching it off with my nail but realized it was under the cover. Also, I noticed it changed in shape. My phone got wet with the soda spill!!! I immediately opened the case. The only wetness was the screen. It looked like the small clear cover on the fingerprint button moved out of place a little somehow. I inspected my phone for any damage from the different contact with liquids and multiple hits/drops it has suffered in my hands (or off them). There’s not a scratch on my phone. It looks intact, as it did when I bought it two years ago! Never have I had that happen to me with a phone case. My screens are usually cracked, the corners of the phone are usually damaged, and have scratches all over the phone. But, that is not the case with this case on my phone! When my husband asked me what case I was putting on my phone, i only had one word to say: Lifeproof! I not too thrilled with the color selection, but purple is my favorite color so that is the color I ordered. It arrived as expected. I did the 30-min. water test as suggested in the instructions. And it did not disappoint. We placed a heavy object on it to hold it submerged for 30 minutes. I took it out of the water, dried the outside with a towel, opened the case, and I found no moisture at all. I’m loving having his case on my phone. I already dropped my phone and kept moving with my day, as usual, without worrying about my phone’s condition. I see some reviews with concerns about the sound quality when you talk on he phone. I did not experience that problem. Then, again, I usually have my phone synced to my car and when I’m not in my car I usually put people on speaker. Except for not having any bling on these cases, i have only good things to say. Love it!

Peace of Mind. Safety/Security. The shining example of what a protective case should be!
Probably my favorite case in the world. I have used protective cases for 6+ years. Now on my iPhone 6S+ I am proud to say this case has protected it from spills, falls, and everything in between. It is miraculously resilient, very protective, immune to dust (almost), and doesn't interfere with very much at all. PROS: *Ultra-protective. The phone has fallen from many feet onto asphalt, concrete, and tile. Underneath this case (which has a few bumps and bruises obviously)... my phone looks LITERALLY BRAND NEW. And that's my goal. *Stylish enough to not look weird. You'd think those protrusions on the side by the volume buttons would be weird and hard to hold... but it turns out for a giant phone they are actually AWESOME. You will learn to love them. They improve grip rather than making it more challenging. *Waterproof... at least for vapor/splash scenarios. I obviously don't fully submerge the phone, but LifeProof says you could. Do this at your own risk. It's great for peace of mind in the bathroom though! *The fingerprint sensor/home button cover might look a little worn but never interferes with Touch-ID even after many many months. CONS: *Some dust will sneak its way under the cover by entering through the charging port. That's okay, just pry it apart to clean it out. *Major problem for future thought: the sound quality of things playing through the case and of your voice spoken into the microphone are BAD. If you need to constantly take calls without a head-set, perhaps reconsider. I exclusively use bluetooth headphones so this does not bother me at all... but you need to be aware of this! *Over time the "click-together" front and back halves of the case may stop being perfectly flush with one another, but this does not harm the protective aspect of the case at all. It is no more than 1/10th of a millimeter anyway. This MAY harm full water-proofing though... Get this case. The others are amateurs compared to this. I have suggested it to others and I will continue to do so. Even with a few flaws it's head and shoulders above the rest. Really happy with it. This is in NO way a paid review. I paid full price and I would pay full price again!

Updated to 4 stars! Read updated comment. Working again!
First off I baby my iPhone 6s Plus. I take very excellent care of it and was very disappointed in this case. Yet still it is a very nice case for these reasons. It's one of the thinnest cases I could find and doesn't feel bulky at all. It's weight it very nice too, nice thin and light case. It also goes together very tight! So "seems" to be very good in keeping water & dirt out. The case also feels very durable, so over all seems to have great protection. But it has two BIG flaws! First is how you sound to others. I have people all the time telling me they can not hear me, saying I sound very muffled. You have to keep the phone very close to your mouth. Also keeping the charging door open helps a lot. Second major issue it the charging hinge itself. My case is only just 2 months old with very little use. Still the little door/hinge has become very loose and easily opens. I am a germ freak & why I wanted a waterproof case. Cause then I can use wet wipes and wash it. So I was recently washing my case and the little charging door opened with just the light pressure of running water! My mint condition iPhone got water Inside and I freaked out! I was very upset and highly disappointed in this case because of this major issue. I contacted the company calling their customer service at 1-888-533-0735. But nobody was available and received a message saying they were closed due to a meeting? How does the entire customer service department close for a meeting? This was the very first time trying to contact this company and this was my first impression. Will see how they handle this matter and will update on how they deal with this issue. Will update soon. UPDATE: I ended up calling back customer service the next day as I really needed a working case fast! The guy was courteous with my concern and gave me a decent offer for a new replacement. Seeing the case was super new I still wasn't pleased but it was a fair deal. In the end they did end up sending me a new case replacement. The new case has been great so far with no leaking. The charching door is much tighter and secure in this new case. So I changed my rating to a 4. I didn't give it a 5 as it's still so new & because I still need to leave the charging door open so others can hear me good. And the built in protective screen is a small issue with the air gaps. But over all it's a solid case and my #1 choice for my personal use.

Great story and review
First off I would like to say that LifeProof has not paid me nor compensated me in anyway for this detailed review. I only gave this product five stars because it would not let me give it seven, seven stars for the seven floors that the LifeProof case protected my phone from. Here's the backstory: I was sitting in my apartment having a great time with my roommate and my best girlfriend with no alcohol in sight (I know, hard to believe right?). I go and FaceTime one of my friends that just left to go back home to talk about paint balling on Friday and making spaghetti tacos after to reminence on our fantastic childhood of iCarly and Avatar the last air bender when I get up and toss my phone to the girl sitting a couple feet away from me. She yells at me to stop throwing my phone or she would throw it back at me and I, with hands like Julian Edelman, said that's fine I'd catch it. We start to banter back and forth on whether or not throwing my phone was okay and I finalized with argument with "I have a LifeProof, it's safe in it." She retorted with "Then I'll throw it out the window!" To which I responded, "I'll do it". It went silent in the room while everyone stared at me with the phone in hand. Then quietly she said "You Won't." Well, I wasn't going to let her prove me wrong so I promptly got up, walked to the window of our apartment on the 7th floor and opened the window and looked out and stated "You really think I won't throw my phone out of the window?" She smirked and said "Nope." Spinning out of my hand into the cold rain, my phone dropped like a rock onto the streets of Shanghai, China and screams could be heard or of the apartment. I rushed downstairs to find my phone facedown in the street only thinking to myself, "Shoot, I'm going to have to replace my phone." But once I picked it up I flipped it over to see two missed texted messages and a completely not cracked screen! I rushed back upstairs to do a complete functions test and the phone worked perfectly! The only thing different was the dirt and scratches on the back of the case! This LifeProof case has handled everything from being in the shower with me, being caught in a rainstorm walking back from the gym, and now flung out of a 7th story window after a girls claimed no balls. This is why I will always buy a LifeProof, for when life says no balls, you can trust your phone in their hands. TLDR: Girl said no balls, guy throws phone out of 7th story window to prove she had no control over his life, will always buy LifeProof cases now.

Great Case for iPhony 6s Plus - Used in Rain
I bought this case in anticipation of a trip where I wanted to use my iPhone as my main camera and where rain was predicted. I tried one of the lifeproof knock-offs and while the service for the company I purchased from was really good, the phone case just didn't deliver. So I bit the bullet and bought this case ($62 for the Pink). And so far, no regrets at all! I was able to use my phone in the rain and the pictures came out great. The touch screen and fingerprint sensor works perfectly. The case itself feels fairly protective (bumpers and lips). I have not done any more in-depth "water" tests beyond the original test with a paper towel (no water) and using my phone in the rain. I don't plan on ever dropping my phone in water or using this in the ocean as I just don't trust enough to do so. But I also think if I did, this case would protect my phone. The cut-outs are perfect and the buttons work. Cons: The case does add a little bulk, but is probably the least amount of bulk required for such a case. While this does make it hard to use a selfie stick, it's still possible. The speakers and phone usage (as a talking phone) is diminished. A lot. The speakers are way muffled and I have to try pretty hard to speak and hear when using the phone. I also suspect the case interferes with my signals somehow, just a little (though I have no scientific reason for believing so). That said, these trade-offs are expected (I read the reviews) and I'm not sure if they could be mitigated (especially when I still expect the entire phone to be sealed in. I suppose one thing Lifeproof could do, is create a flap for the speakers (like the charging port) and that might help. It's also a little annoying to have to use the adapter screw to plug headphones into my phone, though the original iPhone cord works just fine without the adapter. But all these trade-offs are acceptable to me, if in exchange I don't have to worry about water damaging my iPhone 6s Plus.

life proof indeed , well designed overall but comes with limitations
it couldve been perfect. good quality however comes with some limitations. pros: -very well designed, it looks good for a big case, it actually doesnt look as big as it is -well built for impact, after a few weeks of usage it has taken some very hard falls and protected the phone, if people are familiar with the 6plus, the most common thing to go out is the digitizer, even if the screen doesnt crack the digitizer will stop working from hard falls. ive had 3 iphones replaced in 3 months because of digitizer go bad from minor falls. the case has some dense foam, rubber designed to withstand falls -easy to put on, the cover for the charger is well designed and sturdy while providing water protection -my son splashed me when in his kiddy pool while i was filming him, i never submerged it but the case has stood the test of day to day life (life proof indeed) cons: -the rubber piece inside the charger outlet cover fell out, and lost it for someone that uses his headset all day: -the rubber piece around the headset jack cover fell out, and lost it -the plastic screwing for the headset jack has now rethreaded and doesnt screw in properly -because the rubber piece around the headset jack fell out the plastic screw is falling out (it was being held in place by the rubber) -fingerprint recognition is poor -very hard to press up/down volume, and lock/unlock button, i experience finger fatigue when i have to work with those a lot -i am no longer audible to users when speaking directly into the microphone (or yelling for that matter), i took the case apart for the first time since i put it on, and found a lot of dust made it in the case. i went ahead and removed the rubber covering the microphone, and no longer care about it being "waterproof". -for a case thats hermetic it definitely allowed WAY too much dust inside. -the speaker generally only is audible if you turn the case upside down, the sound is distributed behind the phone instead of front and down as designed when phone is naked -the idea of using an adapter for using headsets is a huge inconvenient, they could've easily designed the case with a larger cover for the headset port

It may warp based on unknown factors.
I love this. I didn't do the recommended water test. I am more concerned about dropping my expensive iPhone. The only trouble I had it that I have no grip strength and couldn't get the case snapped together without the help of judicious use of needle nose pliers on the corners. I love the true door that opens with a hinge for the charging cord connection. It is miles better than the Otterbox Defender case that I used on my previous iPhone 4S for 5 years. Much easier to hold as the Lifeproof is thin. UPDATE 09/17 After a year of heavy use I am still very happy with this case. The trouble is that it is now warped. I noticed that my touchscreen was becoming unresponsive. Research online pointed to the iPhone itself as some users have to have their phones rebuilt. But I took it out of the case and the iPhone is still as responsive on the touchscreen as ever. When I look at the separate pieces of the case they are now definitely warped. The only thing I can think that might have happened is that the temps here in Arizona are crazy! 107 F in the summer is not unusual. It cannot be that I am carrying the phone incorrectly. I rarely carry it in a bag, and never in a pocket. So the heat factor is the only reason I can think that the case might have warped. Too bad. I felt very safe with this case and the operations were top notch. I loved the built in screen protector that allowed me to take pictures in most any light or setting. Give it a try if you don’t live in a crazy desert!

Great case
I have had one of these or the nuud version on most of my phones. We pay so much for our smart phone then trust bits of silicone to protect them. Life proof are fab. Yes if you drop down the outside steps will chip case but not your phone. It’s not totally indestructible but offers outstanding protection for expensive item. Love the colour as found the white and black but bland. This was a very good price compared to usual.

Excellente protection
