Hide-a-Key Fake Rock - Looks & Feels Like Real Rock, Set of 2

I can’t tell you how many times me & my husband have locked ourselves out of the house. This product looks like a rock & is well camouflaged. It has saved the day many times!

I locked myself out of my house. My spare house keys were not in the place I normally hid them. Did you know a 24 hour locksmith is a myth? I got locked out st 12:30 in the morning and could not get anyone to show up at my house until 10:30 am. That was scary, no outdoor lighting! I don't ever want to be in this situation again so when I saw this I ordered it. I love that it actually looks like a rock and it blends in with the outside of my house, which has rocks around the bushes and trees. The only thing that I don't like is the plastic that covers the compartment where you place your key is very loose so it sometimes falls off. I've made a pouch to put my keys in and then I slip the cover on top and it makes it a little more secure so the plastic doesn't have too much play to fall off.

The hide0a-key fake rocks don't look fake, like others I've seen. They can accommodate more than one key by pulling out the casing on the bottom. I was very pleased with these a they blend in with the natural environment, and a very good value for two rocks. They are sturdy, but not heavy, and the compartment where you put the keys fits firmly inside the rock.

10-31-15 Bought these for a friend who locked herself out of her car and house AT THE SAME TIME!!! She locked herself out of the car and went to go into the house and realized her purse & house key were in the car!!! Now she has rocks in the yard with both a house and car key in them. This called locking the barn after the horse has escaped!!! Hopefully these rocks will help. Do you need one???? Good product and nice looking!! Put them in your garden and you don't have to worry about being locked out!

I purchased this item after my wife got locked out of our house. There are many mixed feelings about the purchase. 1) Shipped faster than expected. I am an Amazon Prime member. Although it says "Prime," I was advised it was not coming until a week after I ordered it. However, it did live up to the Prime Standard and was at my doorstep in 2 days. 2) Look and Feel = I'm no geologist, but it does not look real to me. And even if it did, the moment I picked it up, I knew it was a fake rock. Not very happy about that. 3) The rock itself is not actually shaped like a rock all the way around. The bottom has a flat surface. On the flat surface is a very, very cheap plastic. I say cheap because when I opened the rock and pulled out the piece of plastic, it broke straight away. Not a big deal as I could use tape to keep it closed but just another thing to address that should have been taken care of by manufacturers. 4) It does fit 1 key and 1 key only. It could fit 2, but then the cover doesn't fit properly. This is a pain as we have 2 doors with different keys to enhance security. 5) I am working on hollowing out my own rock. My own, actual rock. This will work for now. The seller contacted me and asked for my opinion. I provided the review above. They told me to go talk to Amazon about any problems. Ha!

I purchased this 2-pack to create a scavenger hunt for my wife. I "hid" the rock outside, in plain sight, in our garden, all dead for the winter. She knew she was looking for some sort of rock and it still took her about 20mins to find it. This looks very realistic and is very easy to hide, it blends right in. Note: the hidden area isn't waterproof, so consider putting your contents in a plastic ziplock if they can't get wet.

Perfect. One for house and one for cabin. Very realistic.

I can fit 2 or 3 regular size keys in these. Oversize keys will not fit. For the price, they are worth it.
