Can you still charge your controller if the usb isnt plugged into the back of it

It sits on the cradle. The lead must be attached to the cradle otherwise magic would be charging your controller rather than the more conventional electricity.

Will this battery fit the elite controller version 1?

Hi, The Elite Series 1 controller has the same size battery compartment as the Xbox One so not this is not currently compatible. We are looking into ways to make this product more cross compatible with the Xbox One Sarah Customer Services

could someone please confirm the batter power, it says they're only 850mAh which won't last very long at all?

Hi Susan I checked on my batteries supplied with my Vernon charger dock, and yes you are right they are 850mAH, I have used them whilst playing games and found that they last as long if not a little longer than my original batteries that came with the wireless controllers which when I checked are actually 600maAH, so to reply to your question I think you’ll be happy to know that mine last about 2 to 3 hours of game playing use.
