Does it open completely fully vertically or the lid is at the angle once opened?

Dear Sir / Madam Thank you for you question. The lid is almost vertical when open, off by a couple of degree’s at most.

Can this be used as a general waste bin?

Hi, You could use this as a general waste bin or you could buy the 60L without any inner buckets. I have popped a link below. https://www.brabantia.com/uk/bo-pedal-bin-with-1-inner-bucket-60-litres-white/

Have just received my 60 litre bin - are the 4 funny little knob things just packaging?

Hi, could you email a photo to info.uk@brabantia.com and we can confirm for you?

Are the bin liners easy to lift out ? Do they snag on anything

Super easy to get out. No snagging
