Smart Floss - Expanding Natural Waxed Dental Floss - Pack of 11

My dentist recommended DrTung’s Smart Floss, and I can see why! I really like the expanding design because it feels like it does a great job cleaning between my teeth and along the gumline. It’s comfortable to use and doesn’t feel overly harsh. I appreciate having a floss that was recommended by my dentist and makes part of my daily routine easier. I’ll definitely keep this one in my bathroom!

If you are looking for a replacement for Oral-B "Glide" (the original kind before they started packaging strands from burlap sacks and calling it "floss"), THIS IS IT!!! It seems to be a little light on the wax (if there is any at all), but other than that, this is an OUSTANDING product. It slid nicely between my tightly packed teeth, cleaned well, and did not shred or break on the sharp edges of my crowns. One suggestion, if you are not familiar with "Cardamom" flavor, I suggest you either find a way to learn what it is or buy the Mint flavor Smart Floss by the same vendor. Cardamom is kind of one of those "aquired" tastes.

For years, I'd been using Oral B Advanced floss, and for years, every time I went to the dentist, the tech would ask, "Are you flossing at least daily?" and then skeptically ask me to demonstrate how I flossed in case there was something wrong with my technique. The most recent time, I asked my dentist what she recommended, and she said, "I've tried several different natural fiber flosses, but I really like Dr. Tung's. You can find it on Amazon." (She gave a more detailed review, but I'll get to that shortly.) One of the problems I've always had with Oral B, besides it apparently not doing a great job actually flossing, was that the strands broke easily. I'd end up using and wasting a lot of it because of that. And I've yet to actually break a strand of Dr. Tung's, so even though it costs more than Oral B, I'm using a lot less of it. The fiber also expands while in use, which makes it clean better. My dentist specifically mentioned that in her recommendation. I'll see in 5 months or so when I go back to the dentist for my next cleaning if that's made a difference at all, but it *feels* like it's doing a better job at cleaning down around the sides and bases of my teeth. It feels a bit tight going between some of my teeth, in fact. I could honestly use a different flavor; I'm meh on cardamom. But I care more about how well it works. Overall, I'm quite pleased. I have yet to cut my fingers using it (yes, on a few occasions, the thin, highly-waxed Oral B actually cut the side of my index finger near the top joint, where I usually wrap the floss around my finger!), which is something the manufacturer calls out in their advertising ("gentler on gums, softer on fingers"). My gums feel healthier, and I expect the one problem spot my dental hygienist always insisted I needed to do a better job flossing ("really work it down next to the gum along the edge of the tooth root") should do better next time I go in for an exam, too.

These were good until I had to floss around my crown. It would sometimes get stuck on my crown, fray, and then I’d struggle to get it out from my crown area between my teeth. But besides that, they are a nice thickness and worked really good when I was flossing. Didn’t break easily. Don’t feel cheaply made.

This is my first time to buy this brand Dr Tungs Floss. I immediately felt a welcomed difference from my many years use of a different brand. I felt relief on my gums for this floss. Its gentle on my soft spot gums. Wow! I am eager to use this and see how my gums feel after a week's use! Amazingly gives me gum relief.

This is my go to floss, woks great. Tried another brand but came back quickly.

being using oral-B, this is clear setup from it. slides in as easy without stredding. soft cloth texture with ample material so you won't slip and cut into gums like the B boys. no weird flavor, this is good my friends except its twice the B price...

香りもありとてもいいフロスと勧められ在庫があったので購入してみましたが高額の割に特別の良さは、あまり感じませんでした。香りがカビ臭く感じたのが残念でした。もう一種類を使用してから次をどうするか決めようと思っています。

Tengo las encías retraídas y sensibles y me daba miedo pasar la seda/hilo dental todos los días porque me hacía algo de daño en alguna encía. Éste es maravilloso, el mejor que probado nunca, lo uso a diario y noto que limpia y arrastra mucho más que el resto y de una forma suave, como si fuera una esponjita entre los dientes, pero cabe perfectamente hasta en los dientes apiñados sin romperse ni hacer daño. Ademas el aroma muy suave a cardamomo es muy original y me encanta

When I found out the floss I had been using for years was loaded with PFAS I started to look for alternatives. I came across this product from a dental blog. It read like a promotional post and looked like an affiliate trying to make some money. But it was so difficult to find a floss labelled PFAS-free that I decided to give this a try and I'm so glad that I did. The floss is strong, expands slightly and doesn't shred easily. I really like the clean feeling after using this. In fact, I was so happy with this floss that I started to use other Dr. Tung products. I've noticed some people have an issue with the new packaging. The plastic dispenser was replaced with a paper/cardboard box and a metal cutter. I don't seem to have an issue with it. It's delicate but I keep it dry and go easy when cutting. What I did find ridiculous was that my two pack of paper floss boxes came wrapped in plastic. As with any specialty product, this is very pricey. Now that I know I like this product I am considering purchasing in a larger quantity to reduce the cost.
