Spoiler-Free Review
In Old Boy,Volume 6, the "game" is over, and one of the two participants has won. Why does Alias Dojima hate Goto so much, and what does their former teacher have to do with it? Obviously, this is the sixth volume out of eight, so things aren't wrapped up by the end of this volume, but Alias Dojima offers a "sudden death" round, and if Goto doesn't play it, someone close to him will die.Don't get me wrong; the artwork was great and all, and I love this series, but this is a rather weak volume. That being said, if you've made it to Volume 5, you're probably going to read the last three volumes in the series and enjoy them as much as I have. This volume was perhaps the best drawn so far, but it was also a little anti-climactic. In movies like Payback and Pulp Fiction, the protagonists are particularly clever in what they do. Goto really isn't, but that's part of the charm of this series. He's going up against a smarter man with more resources, and he's still trying to win. ****

Addictive
This is one of the most addictive manga series I’ve ever read. It really grips you, without all the added jazz from the movie adaptation.

A definite must-read.
Great read. It is a story that will keep you tuned in from start to finish. The art is amazing as well. With gorgeous two-page spreads. This definitely constitutes a classic read.
