The Binaural Beats sends you into a deep sleep
The Binaural beats are a great tool to help with meditation and it also puts you into to a deep sound sleep. I now use the CD every night or I cannot sleep as well. It also helps with stress by the soothing sounds. It calms your mind and body. Just listen to the beats and let it take you where it needs too. I just love it. This is a fabulous tool and the cost was low so a good way to try the binaural beats. Try it, it is really really just wonderful in helping your mind relax and your body.

Not even sure how to rate this
This is exactly what the title says it is, but I expected there to be more than just the binaural tracks. There is no music or drumming, its just tones. That being said, I found it relaxing, just not trance inducing.

This cd is very relaxing! It's the only binaural beats I've heard, so I don't have much to go off in terms of how good it is, but I'm happy with it! ...as usual, the shipping time is above average!

A Shamanic Spiral Down
This album, aside from its interesting title, has no artistic or binaural merits whatsoever.Mr. Drake is apparently a rhymist and is associated with "talking drums" in the context of shamanic journeys. I guess I inferred from this that his work would weave interesting percussion patterns into the fabric of binaural beats. I was wrong. This album has no sign of percussion, or of musicality, or of primordial sounds, or of synthesizer effects that might facilitate and enhance the binaural patterns. So far as I can tell, the album is solely of slightly differing audio sine waves on two channels that have been mixed into a single soundtrack. When listened to with headphones, the effect is allegedly a 4.5 Hz beat frequency, i.e., a theta wave that is supposed to be characteristic of shamanic journeys.The actual result of Mr. Drake's efforts is four 15-minute tracks (not two 15-minute tracks and two 30-minute tracks, as described above). Tracks 1 and 2 are pitched a bit lower so far as the carrier frequency, and are pretty much the same. Tracks 3 and 4 are pitched somewhat higher.The CD notes give no clues as to how the listener might best utilize the tracks, in sharp contrast to the complete and informative notes that Jeffrey Thompson provides with his own binaural soundtracks. The listener is apparently expected to buy Drake's book on shamanic journeys to learn what to do. Without this book, however, I used the soundtracks extensively in a variety of ways. Even a monotonous soundtrack might have great redeeming value if it produces pronounced brainwave entrainment. I could detect only a slight degree of entrainment, however. In particular, I did A/B comparisons with Thompson's work on theta waves. The contrast is startling. Thompson synthesizes binaural beats and other sounds, rhythms, and melodies in ways that make the binaural experience very compelling. Drake leaves the listener with almost no such experience at all.At best, this is a mediocre $8 disk. If you really wish to take positive steps down a spitiual path, you might consider instead taking your money and giving it to a homeless person or putting it on the collection plate in church.

sure i'm missing something glaring obvious ...
... but 2 of the tracks claim they are 30 minutes and 2 are 15 minutes. yet all four tracks are 15 minutes and the total time of the disc is 60 minutes. obviously, something isn't adding up. feeling foolish, i played and timed one of the labeled 30 minute tracks and of course it only played for 15 minutes.so where is the additional 30 minutes of content? hiding behind the 'hit the repeat key you idiot'? and if that latter were the case, why even bother labeling separate 30 minute tracks as such?/guy [puzzled]

Theta is Greata
I like this CD it's to the point, not a lot of other crap - just Theta. I am still new to using it, but I can say it's very relaxing. I use it when I walk and it doesn't block my regular hearing. Make sure you use headphones for maximum benefit.All in all, very good...IRIE...
