Traditional British crumpets from Lakeland Bake are a delicious way to start the day. Expiry June 2023 - Product of UK – GMO Free. This is a Frozen Product please see instructions on storage upon receipt. Review: Fresh and delicious as if served up in London just before a day at Wimbledon! - Got these crumpets specifically to eat while watching Wimbledon on the telly in Texas, and they accompanied it perfectly. The flavor is wonderful, they could not have tasted fresher (expiration date about 3 months future), and texture perfect. The package notes "Not suitable for home freezing", but against advice, froze three of the four packages. The frozen ones in taste and texture were every bit as good as the unfrozen. I've read various ways to prepare crumpets, and decided on a brushing of butter on top and bottom, and grilling on low heat until golden brown on the bubbly side, and firmed up on the browned side. This method worked perfectly for us. Slightly crispy on top, and perfect alone or with your favorite toppings. We used primarily Wilkin & Sons Tiptree Little Scarlet Strawberry Preserves (great history), and Tawny' Orange (an acquired taste - a little bitter by nature). Both are very British and excellent. Can"t recommend these crumpets highly enough! Review: The Best Crumpets By Far - Crumpets might look like English Muffins but they do not taste the same. These Lakeland Bake crumpets are by far the best of the Crumpets. Crumpets need to be toasted and I like to toast them a little longer as I like the crunch. These crumpets are much thicker. So, when the outside is toasted crunchy the inside is still a little soft. I like to butter the crumpet with salted butter and sometimes I would add some cream cheese. I also buy Duffy Crumpets because Lakeland Bake Crumpets are no always in stock. Duffy Crumpets are a little thinner and the inside could be a little too hard when they were toasted a bit longer. As far as Crumpet is concerned, Lakeland Bake Crumpets is as good as it can be. If you haven’t try them before, this is worth a try.

So tender and tasty!
I watched a show on how crumpets are made, and the nooks and crannies beguiled me. I'd never tried crumpets when in England, so tried these at home...the taste and texture are quite unique and I get why my Brit friends love them. We toast them and they are divine from craggy top through soft spongy center to crisp base. Melted butter gets captured in the deep crags. OK gotta go make one now...

Great Tasting English Crumpets
Best crumpets I've yet found in the USA. Light and fluffy, good texture. Expensive compared to UK price, but as a treat they were worth it.

A good option
Came moist. Put in freezer bags in freezer. Still tasty but not like last ones. Pricey but when U can't find them & don't have the time to make, still a good option.

Yum!
Being native to England, I miss a lot of my food favorites, crumpets being one of them. The minute they arrived I popped some right in the toaster oven. OH MY... they were so good and hit the spot! So good in fact, that I hid them from my kids LOL
