The leather is nice and supple. The pouch is well made and I have no deal-breaker complaints really. Since the leather is so soft and supple I hope it holds up to the rigors of use in the field. The only real thing that I can gripe about is the cheesy drawcord used. Come on guys, step it up on this. A round leather cord would have been a five-star review, I promptly replaced the cord.

It was smaller than I expected and the draw string was not as functional as I would have expected. H&D also usually sends its products inside a white drawstring bag and this came inside a plastic wrap...which was also a little dissapointing.

Very strong and well made product. Mine came with no odd smell and has withstood flint shards, ferrite rods, and all manner of tinder without any damage or tearing while keeping everything dry through multiple hikes in downpour conditions.If you want an archaic but nonetheless useful way to carry smaller items this one can do the job readily and has a special place for primitive camping when you want to be as authentic of a caveman as possible. Excellent value for the price for real leather too.

First impression is that it's a decently sized bag for tinder. Havent given it a field test yet, but it seems like fairly hardy material, though I'll likely swap out the shoelace drawstring for a leather strip instead. Other than that, it's a good purchase for the price tag.

We bought this for our grandson as a gift. I think that he will be really pleased! It looks very durable and will work great for his needs.

Excellent quality. I've been looking for a small pouch like this for awhile. I use it for my fire starter kit for camping. It's perfect. I highly recommend this product.

Not worth the money.

I bought several things from Hide & drink all where missing the canvas bag all of them in horrible packaging Again worth less than a 1/4 price will I buy from them again simply never not bad craftmanship just not worth anywhere near the price hey lesson learned . I will say that it really _____ed me off they tell you and show you a nice keeper bag and you do not get it just looks plain bad on them.
