I used to be genuinely scared of keeping succulents and orchids. Everyone says they’re so fussy about their roots, and honestly, I proved that right by killing off a few of them using regular, heavy potting soil that stayed soggy forever. I finally realized I needed to stop winging it, so I picked up a bag of this Miracle-Gro Cactus, Palm & Citrus mix. It’s been such a relief to have the right stuff on hand. The texture is honestly the best part. When you open the bag, you can tell right away that it’s not just regular dirt. It’s super airy and you can see the perlite and sand mixed in, which is exactly what these types of plants need to keep their roots from rotting out. It feels like pro-level soil, and it saves me the headache of trying to mix my own amendments and hoping for the best. My plants have totally turned a corner, too. I’ve been using it for my Aloe Vera and a few of my Phalaenopsis orchids, and the difference is pretty wild. My Aloe has literally doubled in size—the leaves are plump and firm, not mushy like they used to be. And my orchids, which had been barely hanging on for dear life, are finally pushing out fresh, healthy roots and glossy leaves. It’s actually satisfying to watch them thrive instead of just hoping they don’t die on me. I also appreciate the packaging. It sounds minor, but the bag is actually sturdy, easy to open without wrestling it, and stores nicely in my closet without making a dusty mess everywhere. It just makes the whole repotting process less of a chore. If you’ve got plants that need quick drainage—like cacti, palms, or those finicky orchids—don’t bother with the standard "all-purpose" soil. It just doesn't cut it. This mix is clearly made for exactly these kinds of plants, and it’s been a total game-changer for my indoor garden. My plants seem way happier, and I’m definitely sticking with this from now on. Five stars.

I purchased this Miracle-Gro succulent potting mix for six mini succulents I recently received. Nothing too fancy, just needed something suitable to get them planted! The package arrived in good condition, and the soil was nice and loose, making it easy to work with when transferring my succulents into their new planters. It was exactly what I needed, and I have no complaints so far. Time will tell how well my succulents grow in this mix, but based on my first impression, I'm happy with the purchase. Simple, practical, and gets the job done!

My plants love this. It's a bit light so the aloe I used it for needed propping up but other than that, I have no complaints as they are growing fast.

This excellent potting soil especially for our succulents. I keeps the soil moist without drowning them. I’ll probably buy some more.
