The Absolute Best for Long Beards โ Well Conditioned, Never Greasy!
Iโve had a long beard for well over 15 years now, so Iโve tried just about every product on the market. Take it from me: Honest Amish items are the absolute best, hands down. You can simply never go wrong with their products, and this new large 4-ounce twist tin is a massive win. Perfect Conditioning Without the Grease The biggest issue with most heavy-duty balms is that they leave your face and beard feeling like an oil slick. This beard balm is the only one I've ever found that deeply conditions and tames a long beard without leaving it greasy or excessively oily. It absorbs perfectly, leaving the hair soft, manageable, and healthy-looking. Great, Subtle Scent The scent is exactly what it should beโpleasant and clean, but not at all overpowering. It won't clash with your cologne or hit you in the face all day long. The Verdict If you have serious facial hair and want top-tier maintenance, this is the gold standard. The new larger 4-ounce tin is an incredible value for a product that consistently outperforms everything else. Highly recommended!

Perfect grooming for large, full beard
As someone with a large, full beard, Iโve tried countless products over the years and have a bathroom drawer full of stuff that isn't used! Honest Amish Heavy Duty Beard Balm has remained a staple in my grooming routine. Iโve been using it daily for many years, and it consistently delivers exceptional results. This balm excels in keeping my beard conditioned and manageable. I'm fortunate that I don't have to do much other than brush it and add this balm in. After that, I'm good for the day. Although I'm not a scientist, the natural ingredients not only soften my beard but also nourish my skin, preventing dryness and irritation. It does have a rich, creamy texture that spreads easily and absorbs well without leaving a greasy residue, a feature I deeply appreciate. I'd also say this balm stays throughout the day. Itโs evident they prioritize quality, making this product a reliable choice for anyone serious about beard care. Whether just starting your beard journey or maintaining a well-established mane, this balm is worth every penny. I buy it about every couple of months. Itโs an investment in your beardโs health and appearance that I wholeheartedly recommend.

Awesome product that I've been using for years.
The ants like it. As do I ๐คฃ If nature will consume it than it's gotta be natural as described. If the flies and ants won't touch it than you probably shouldn't either

Smells good & softens+moisturizes beard but certainly nothing "heavy duty" for use on unruly beards
Let me start by saying I have a naturally coarse, wiry, curly/wavy beard. That being said, my beard looks 'ill-kept' even on a good day. My beard routine is as follows: Beard soap wash once a week (just water rinse the rest of the week), Scotch Porter beard conditioner + shower beard brush to evenly spread conditioner from root to tip (leave in for 3-5 min), generous application of TJ's jojoba oil or Bossman gold oil + brush throughout with Zeus boar bristle beard brush, and then generously apply Honest Amish "Heavy Duty" Beard Balm + go over again thoroughly several times with beard brush. Despite my best efforts (all short of blow drying or straightening my beard with a beard iron), this doesn't cut it. I've accepted that my beard will never be that of men who professionally beard model but I also won't accept incredulous claims from companies with products coming up very short of customer's expectation. I would not be as irritated with this product if it were not outlandishly branded as "heavy duty". In fact, I would not have so many negatives things to say if this was simply called "Honest Amish Nice Smelling Beard Balm that might make your beard soft (but certainly won't do any heavy lifting in taming it!)". I will also say that, at the time I took the photos of my beard, I was overdue for a beard trim as well... Regardless, for reputable companies selling beard balm, claiming their product is "heavy duty", I expect better results than shown in the photo and that from balm I make myself from scratch (no comparison photo for homemade vs store-bought at the moment). TLDR: Don't expect this balm to tame, relax, or otherwise help make your beard look straighter/neat/nice. It has less hold than plain shea butter, which is actually a harder solid at room temperature than this "heavy duty balm". If you're looking for "heavy duty" then scroll on and maybe consider using something closer to mustache wax instead. If you have a straight beard or a beard so long that gravity keeps it in place for you, then this balm is a nice smelling option for softening and conditioning (post-shower) your beard. I definitely don't consider this any sort of substitute for in-shower beard conditioner nor beard oil (post-shower).

A must have for bikers..
This stuff is so amazing, me being a biker, I love this stuff, first it holds my beard together even in the rain it don't run. Second I rub it over my tattoos and it keeps them looking new, shiny and keeps skin from drying out on my arms and again in the rain water runs off won't wrinkle your skin around tats. I use this on my leather on motorcycle and it don't leave it greasy, and keeps water from soaking in my leather, it protects almost anything from wetness. I've tried other products from curiosity, and found that oil is above anything in products.. This is your number one friend bikers, I live in Texas and I recommend this product becouse it's so handy for me, try it you'll love it..๐

Heavy Duty vs Regular Leave-In
Normally I use the regular leave-in conditioner, but decided to try the Heavy Duty this time around... It seems there are 2 noteworthy differences between the 2 products. First, the Heavy Duty has a small amount of wax giving it a bit of a "beard holding" property. Handling the two, you can feel the difference in viscosity when rubbing it on the hands and eventually onto the bears. It's not super strong, but there is a noticeable difference. Second is the scent. The Heavy Duty is more of a "no scent added" type product. It smells like a mixture of oils and butters, but none of them are overpowering or too forward. It ultimately comes off as a very meh-like smell that doesn't last or linger very long. Short of that both left my beard feeling soft, tangles were easy to comb out, but the Heavy Duty resulted in fewer stray hairs. The smell or lack of smell with the Heavy Duty isn't a big deal because most of the time after about 20minutes I don't notice the smell of the beard product anyway unless I'm actively trying to smell it. Previously I was using the regular leave-in conditioner and adding a light wax after, the Heavy Duty mostly gets rid of that so I think I may just use the Heavy Duty from now on. **The indentation in the image was done by myself, testing the consistency, thickness, and so on. The product arrived perfect and without lumps. IF yours arrived with lumps, simply melt the compound fully back into a liquid, then allow it to cool/solidify again.

Honest Amish for Life!
I will never turn to another product! I know it may sound exaggerated but Iโve been buying goods from our local Lancaster County Amish community for decades. But I had never given a thought as to how they keep their beards so nice and fresh looking. This is a group that has had beards for centuries! I decided to give it a shot and Iโm completely sold! They use all organic ingredients that leaves the beard and my mustache soft and manageable. I use their oil and balm right out of the shower. I few dabs of oil and then the balm while the beard and mustache is damp. I grew a handlebar mustache a few years ago and gave up due to the Daily use of heavy wax to keep it together. Since using these products, my mustache is so manageable that it stays in the handlebar shape all day and thereโs no heavy wax or buildup. Let me not forget to mention that Iโm in my 1st month of growth and this is the time when the hairs arenโt trained!!! So I can pull out my comb anytime to freshen it up along with the beard with ease! I use their Beard and Body soap for the initial wash, and then the oil followed by the balm. For me itโs been the perfect trio. The bonus for me is the manly woodsy scent it has instead of perfumes.

Not much different..Update
This stuff was fairly pricey, It seems to be a good beard balm, but the heavy duty part, I find, is not really true . I find it does not have any better hold than 3 other popular brand balms that I have. A little disappointed in that fact . After reading the very good reviews of this product .The scent is kinda strange , like fresh pumpkin almost . It does make the beard soft though and last a long time . Update After a year of trying a few other balms i find myself using this most of the time . it really softens beard and lasts a long time . Right now i don't care about hold I just let beard go... but this stuff does a nice job of conditioning and keeping things manageable . I ordered more cause it seems to work quite well

A really good beard balm to have!
Product arrived on time. I love the presentation of this balm, Honest Amish is one of the top companies for beard products. I especially love the twist lid tin. 4 oz of this balm really does last. I bought the regular Honest Amish beard balm conditioner back in September last year, and I just ran out of it. So for the size and cost of the product, this one is at the top of my list. I would definitely recommend this product to my fellow beardmen. A couple of my co-workers are even using it! Now to bring up another point, this heavy duty beard balm feels a bit grainy and not as oily compared to the regular beard balm. After doing some research online and watching some YouTube videos, these characteristics sound to me like this product is actually beard butter. Honest Amish what is your take on this? Being in the industry for so long, and making awesome products, how would you describe the key differences between beard butter and beard balm?
