Great wheel.
I LOVE this wheel! I've had this wheel since mid May 2014. It has been absolutely perfect so far. Prior to this I had the standard GT wheel, since November 2013. Some quick comments on the GT wheel, because it relates to this new one... The static paddles you have to use with the old wheel take getting used to. I would often find my hand in a position where I would not easily use the paddles. It would sometimes force me to wait a second or two to make the shift. The GT wheel itself seemed to develop loose screws every so often. Not a major deal. So far this new wheel has had zero problems. The paddles are far more intuitive and easy to use, simply by being attached to the wheel. This is a subjective opinion, as I'm sure someone out there loves static paddles. The static paddles on the base unit do not get in the way of this wheel and its attached paddles. You can also alternatively use the static paddles or attached - they have the same function. This also means you cannot program them differently. The wheel is slightly smaller. It's hard to notice the difference. I love the button placement better on this wheel. The biggest concern for me is not with this wheel at all - it's with the base unit. I had to use locktite on the screws that hold the mount onto the base unit (ie: take off the wheel. Where the wheel would attach to the base unit there is a plug and four screws around it. Locktite the four screws on the base unit. I used blue locktite). Before doing this the T500RS developed an issue where less than one lap would result in the wheel wobbling a good half an inch. The screws on the base unit were coming loose. After applying locktite it's been perfect - and it's been about 3 months so far with lots of racing.

The T500 should ship with this wheel
This is the wheel Thrustmaster should ship their T500 with. Or, at the very least a wheel like this one, minus the useless Ferrari badge. Don;t get me wrong, the GT wheel that ships with the T500 is an excellent wheel. It has plenty of buttons and it is larger in size, but it has no paddles. After a few races lost because I failed to upshift or downshift by missing the paddles all together, I decided to buy this wheel and it has quickly become my go to wheel for GT driving and general purpose. Quality is OK, not stellar but very decent. It feels solid and the smaller form factor will make transitioning to a T500 easier for many former G25/27 owners. While it does indeed look almost identical to the Ferrari GT wheel, the center logo is cheap looking. I am not sure why but it may have to do with the color and consistency of the center badge. Personally, I don't care. In fact, I care so little that I would have bought it regardless of the Ferrari badge. Buttons are easy to reach and feel pretty solid. The paddles are the best feature of the wheel. Crisp and precise they are exactly where you would expect them to be. All in all I am happy to have this wheel and I use it more than I do my F1 and original GT wheel.

Good But Not Great
I really like the look and weight of this rim. It feels more solid and better made than the stock rim that came with my wheel. However, I'm knocking off 2 stars two reasons: a) there are only 6 buttons on it as opposed to the 9 that come with the stock rim for the Thrustmaster TX wheel. Now, since this is supposed to be a replica of the real Ferrari rim, I suppose they had to copy that for the sake of accuracy. Still, it's a bit disappointing anytime features are removed. If I could knock just a half star off for that, I would. And b) this rim isn't as "grippy" as the stock rim. It's not exactly slippery, but the stock rim has a terrific rubber texture at the 9 and 3 o'clock positions that make for a better grip. This is really the more disappointing of my two complaints. I feel I have to grip this wheel just a bit tighter and that could cause some fatigue over long racing sessions. On the plus side, I can feel a little more of the road through this rim than I did through the stock rim. The more solid construction of this wheel somehow translates the Force Feed Back a little better from the wheel base to the rim.

Excellent to replace the wheel of my TS-PC Racer
I am fortunate enough to own the Thrustmaster TS-PC Racer. It comes with a Ferrari F1 style of wheel: Somehow squarish with two main handles on left and right. When you play in an environment where the wheel may turn suddenly in your hands, the Force feedback is strong enough to risk breaking one of your fingers. At least, some not smooth enough edges of the wheel caused one of my fingers to bleed. This is why it is recommended to play with gloves, by the way... Fortunately, Thrustmaster offers a choice of add-ons wheels that you can swap for. All it takes is a small screwdriver and in a couple of minutes, your old wheel can be replaced by a new one. This is what I did with the Thrustmaster Ferrari GTE F458 Wheel Add-On. No more sharp angle that may hurt my hands, the buttons are perfectly functional too... The handling is great, so is the finition. The price is really fair. In conclusion: A well deserved 5 stars score!

Fair, would like to see Thrustmaster put some effort in development.
The buttons work great and plenty of them to program. Buttons are positioned in a good spot, easy to reach. The paddle shifters feel good with solid clicks for shifting. Great job Thrustmaster. Now for the downside. The wheel is wrapped in cheap rubber, a leather wheel like the G29 or actually like all of the other companies wheels, would be a tremendous improvement. My wheel was also warped, which really isn't a big deal, so I didn't send it back, but it does look ridiculous when it does its wheel test at the beginning. The other thing is a quick release mechanism to allow for changing wheels. If Thrustmaster would implement these ideas, I would have no problem buying several different high quality wheels to change between games. I guess there are mods out there to use different wheels and a quick release but that is the reason for 1 star because Thrustmaster master doesn't do it.

Hermoso rin, lo compré para un TS-PC y funciona super bien y se siente de alta calidad. Ojo que el forrado no es de piel, pero creo que este es más duradero por lo mismo.

Great wheel. Typical quality add-on from the good people at Thrustmaster!! Not to big or to heavy, very easy to change out, plus some different button positions and toggle switch, making it a nice change up from my other wheels. My only minor complaint would be it's hard rubber finish!!! It's much like the standard wheel that comes with the T300-RS set. Since I acquired the TM-28 wheel, leather wrapped, it is by far more comfortable. Not the end of the world! Just say'in. Still a great addition to my wheel collection..... Cheers, Pierre. :-)
