Exactly what an adapter should be
Simple, effective, and well made. Works for my mixing board to connect any audio source. No additional noise when using it. I haven't noticed any problems with a fit, neither too big or small. It will connect with any 1/4" and 1/8" size jacks. Solid value compared to other adapters.

THIS IS THE ONE YOU ARE LOOKING FOR
If you are buying this to split a MONO out to a STEREO in, it is the only adapter on Amazon that actually works. I tried several others that all were just mislabeled or falsely advertised 1/4 to 1/8 adapters. THIS WILL DO WHAT IT SAYS ON THE TIN.

Suited my needs perfectly without any issues (convert L only mono to dual mono)
My use case was to take the effects output of my desktop mixer (XENYX 1202FX) which sends a mono signal via the left channel only, and have it send to the Line-In (stereo) of my PC as a combined dual mono signal (with the same signal to both the left and right channels). This enabled me to use the "effects out" of the mixer as a secondary mic send to the PC separate from the stereo main out. This little plug did an excellent job of this very simple task... It took the mono signal that came out only in the left channel and split it up, without attenuation, to both the left and right channels of the stereo cable it connects to. Build quality was fine as well and the connection was tight. I might buy some more to put into my audio toolkit.

For a presentation, I needed to plug a stereo cord from my laptop into a 1/4" mono amplifier. This worked perfectly. As it should.

Perfect Sound and nice compact fit that doesn’t put a stress load on the audio port. Monaural to dual channel output. Exactly as advertised!!! Quality of the adapter is also very good!
