Rapid charger really cuts the charging time!
We had a rapid charger for our EGO lawnmower (great product and quiet - neighbors went and bought one last year too after seeing and hearing ours,) but needed another one to help charge a new EGO snowblower. Too bad they don't make a dual rapid charger for charging 2 at a time. We could only find the dual regular time charger, so ordered another of it too.

Add A Fan and Save The Batts
These ~$30 Ego Ch2100 slow Chargers have only 1 fan but the $100 warranted version has 2, where the 2nd upper fan pulls air through the battery (cooling it) then out of the charger via a shroud. With only a single fan here, the 90º circuit heat rises into the battery - heating it, shortening its life and negating the advantages of slow charging. A spare fan jack for this (FAN-JACK1) is on the top left corner of the board in the photo. The one OEM fan is decent for its low cost but moves warm air up through the battery. This add-on fan does not void the (nonexistent [3rd party vendor] warranty), but will save hundreds on replacement batteries over the years by slow, cool charging. Almost all batteries degrade due to warmth, both in use and while charging, as well as being stored fully charged for long periods or in hot outbuildings, or being used full to empty. Ideally, lithium batteries would be used only between (roughly) 25%-75% charge and stored at 35-40% in ~60ºF. Violating these precepts can reduce charge cycles from several thousand down to a few hundred. I used the Noctua 40mmx20mm NF-A4 x 20 FLX for this add-on. The pin on the outside of the circuit board is + and the inside pin is -. Therefore the Black and red on the Noctua connector need to be switched. If you know how to do this and have the right tool, do so. If not, cut the cable, trim the sheath and use the thoughtfully included splicers. The yellow wire is irrelevant. In the photo of the top cover you will see a center slot with 4 tabs into which the fan fits perfectly. I used double stick tape on the sides and a dab of epoxy at each corner. See the LED wire at the bottom of the cover? This procedure is MUCH easier if you just slip that wire out of its slot. Remove the board, slip the new fan in oriented to blow inward and reorient 180º the OEM fan to blow outward. Cool air now will enter the battery and the OEM fan - now exhausting, will cool the circuitry better. Attach the connectors, route the cable. Done. Getting the bottom cover on is a little tricky. I found that by just turning it back and forth repeatedly it will eventually just fall into place. The cover's 4 screws have T10 security heads.

Great battery charger!
Replaced the one I had after 6 years of use. This came quickly and works like the original. Someone mentioned that they could not register this product as Amazon was not a reseller. Mine registered just fine.

The Power to Save
You know, I purchased my leaf blower some time ago. Fully anticipating I'd enjoy it and that, soon, I'd be owning my own home and using it on my own property to satisfaction and contentment I and my neighbors could all enjoy. After some moves and some years, we can collectively let out a well-deserved sigh of relief as that has come to fruition. Not all was well initially, though. At some point in one of the moves, the leaf blower's battery charger took to self-autonomy and declared itself sovereign. Where the original battery charger resides today and at this very moment and is anyone's guess- truly, only God knows. But I do hope it is working well and being treated properly while not in use. LOOKING FORWARD, came this EGO POWER+ to save the day shortly after realizing the need of. And it worked perfectly. The yard becomes more manicured everyday and the leaf blower stays working. Highly endorse this product- this battery charger. It is without a doubt worth the price.

Improvement over CH2100
Original review (7/14/25): This CH3200 charger is higher wattage than the CH2100, which I didn't notice until I received the unit. The LEDs are in a better position in terms of being able to check the charging status. They also are more aesthetically pleasing/modern. It's more low profile than the CH2100, as well. I bought this CH3200 at a list price of $40, but it seems it's selling for $49.99 at the time of writing the review. The CH2100 is currently prices at $55. There's no reaosn to buy that charger. I will eventually open up my CH2100 and see if I can figure out why it broke, and repair it.. and eventually may hand it over to my dad if I can't figure it out. I had purchasd a DSANKE battery because EGO's battery prices are ridiculous, but that battery seemed to have killed my CH2100. The Ruzixt I purchased next works fine on this new charger, as does my OEM EGO battery. It does seem like the CH3200 is a bit louder, but I don't mind. Also, I just noticed this while charging batteries in my office, and usually I have the charger out in the garage. It could be a perception issue due to the location of the charger, but I tend to believe I'm accurate in my estimation that the CH3200 is a bit louder (fan noise) than the CH2100. Will update this review as needed.
