HIPPIE CRAFTER Double Sided Tape for Woodworking, 2 Inch Wide Heavy Duty Woodworking Tape for CNC Machines and Routing Templates, Removable & Strong, 90 Feet Long.

Using this for my cnc machine and it works amazingly well. I was using carpet tape previously but it was very hard to remove and left residue everywhere. Even at pretty high speeds, it doesn't seem to deflect at all unlike the thicker carpet tape. The tape holds strong laterally, it even was able to hold HDPE down to my table with no slippage. It's easy to remove as well with just some a small pry tool designed for cell phone repair the piece came up and the tape came off easily. It left a little residue where the bit had cut through the material into the spoilboard but I used a small section of tape to dab up the residue with no problems. I would recommend trying to avoid cutting through the tape as it does gum up the cutter a bit, but its easy enough to clean with some goo gone. Well worth the price and amazing performance!

This tape is no joke; it's hold capacity is intense! It is so strong, my least favorite part about using it is prying my wood up from my planer sled to flip or remove it! That said, this tape can be re-used in a planer sled application - if budgeting your materials and saving money is what you're into. It sticks to melamine well, and if you pry the wood up off of it correctly allowing the tape to remain on the melamine sled, you can stick a new piece of wood on the used tape, press it down well, and it runs through the planer just fine. Even with some sawdust on the tape, it still holds incredibly well. I go as far to store my planer sled with the tape on it, and reuse it weeks later, lol. One of these days, I can see my putty knife breaking that I use to pry the wood away from the tape. I love that it comes in a 3 pack, however I'm probably around 1/2 through my first roll and have been using it a while. Would highly recommend this product to any woodworker.

For one, the tape itself is strong and the adhesion is very good. However, as a woodworker who often need this type of tape for a number of applications have found that it tends 'rolls on to itself' when removing the backing material which requires the extra step of cutting off that portion of the tape. I use this with a tape dispenser and find it difficult to cut through as the tape is rather thick; which in many other applications is a good thing. It works but I would recommend a different, thinner type for woodworking.

This works great for holding down a board while being routed on the CNC machine. The first time I used it I used too much and had a very difficult time in removing the finished piece. Since then, I've found that it's not necessary to cover the whole bottom of the wood; a strip of tape every 3 to 4 inches will hold it tightly. It's quite sticky, the thickness is appropriate and doesn't interfere with anything and when I run out, I'll buy more as it's become my go to method for holding down boards when the table clamps won't work.

The tape is very effective. It does seem surprisingly gummy compared to others I've tried but it holds really solidly for template routing and it will release with some persuasion (read ya need to pry the two pieces apart). So far I've used it to hold small parts in a routing template and to hold those to a base to run through a table saw. Worked really well for what I needed. As always ya gotta be sure your parts are held firmly in place before doing any cutting but if there's no room for a destaco type clamp to hold the material this tape may work for you.

Some of the best double-sided tape I've used. The rolls last a long time - took me over a year to use up the first one. Stickyness is excellent, as is holding power, but you can still separate the pieces when you need to. In other words, just the right amount for woodworking. I use this a lot for template layouts (routing) and mounting drawer fronts in tricky installs. I do NOT recommend using this for woodturning - the tape material is too pliable and will send your bowl blank flying.

Easy to use it sticks well. Highly recommend.

Recomiendo mucho esta cinta para trabajos con madera, yo la utilizé para pegar papel de lija en un nivel de aluminio para poder nivelar la madera de un brazo de guitarra, no se ha despegado despues de mas de un mes y sigue firme como el día que la puse, recomiendo la cinta para esta aplicación.

Esta cinta adhesiva de doble aldo es excelente, tanto para uniones temporales como permanentes. Yo lo utilizo en carpinteria para unir dos piezas para hacer un corte identico y luego separar las piezas.
