I think I'm in love ๐
Well, I needed a new iron in a hurry. My old one was over 20 years old. Quick search on Amazon for a cheap replacement ... At ยฃ20, this cordless iron wasn't much more than the corded supermarket budget version! Cordless sounded a good idea, too - my kitchen socket is in an awkward place; the cord has to pass across 2'6" of worktop, and the ironing board has to be at right-angles, and the cord just doesn't quite reach to the end of the board. So I took a chance on this iron, and couldn't be happier! Firstly, there seems to be a mis-match between the description (black and teal) and the photo (dark blue and gold). Mine is dark blue and gold, like the photo. (I see another colour option suffers from the same problem.) But that isn't really a problem, because I didn't mind which colour option I got. Moving from a two decade old iron, I've been very impressed by how quickly this one heats up (about 25 seconds from cold). It seems to get nice and hot - I haven't needed the hottest setting yet. As with standard irons, the steam setting is easily adjusted, and there is the usual pair of buttons on top of the handle for a burst of steam or a spray. I thought the iron might be awkward to position on its cradle to heat up, but so far I haven't had a problem. The little light is in a difficult position to see, but after the initial heat up, I simply return the iron to its cradle each time I reposition the garments, and it seems fine. I see one reviewer complains that it's not rechargeable - but why would you want the extra weight and reduced lifespan of batteries? Our grandmothers used flatirons, which had to be heated on the hotplate on the kitchen range. That took a while, so they needed two or three irons. This is just a modern version of those old flatirons - but it heats up so quickly that you only need one! And as a bonus, if you're ironing something particularly large, you can lock the iron onto its base and use it like a standard corded iron! The water tank isn't huge - but it's simple enough to refill it, should you need to, especially as you can keep the little jug beside you, filled with extra water, for just such a contingency. I used to loathe ironing. In the few weeks I've had this iron, I've come to ... perhaps "enjoy" is too strong a word, but I don't mind doing it now. The iron is hot and ready in just moments, and I'm not tethered to that awkward socket any more. Excuse me now, while I go off to play with my new toy. I mean - to work hard at an essential household task!!

Nice looking steam iron
Nice product. Doesn't keep hot for long as a cordless but otherwise efficient.

Brilliant Hybrid Iron โ Highly Recommend!
Rating: โญโญโญโญโญ โIโm really impressed with this iron. The cordless feature is a total game-changer for ironing sheets and dresses without the lead getting in the way. It recharges on the base almost instantly between garments. โPros: โFreedom: No more tangled cords snagging on the board. โPower: Steam is just as strong as a traditional corded iron. โFast: Heats up quickly and glides smoothly. โCons: โWater tank is a bit small, but itโs a fair trade-off for how lightweight it feels. โIf you want the power of a standard iron with the convenience of a cordless one, buy this. Great value for money!

can't complain for the price , works well but as others have commented on it cools quickly when in use so needs the be replaced on the stand every 20 seconds or so but that's to be expected. overall I'd recomend.

Get what you pay for...not built to last
Update - 12th May 2025 Unfortunately, the issue I raised before has become worse over time. The charging point on the base is very small and has a small pin which you need to be very precise to get into the right place. The pin has been bent slightly and now it is very difficult to get the iron into a charging position. If you are lucky enough to get it to charge, the iron is at such an unbalanced angle it is more likely to topple over. A significant design flaw to be honest. I would avoid the product as this has happened after 8 months of use. Purchased to replace older Morphy Richards cordless iron. I looked at replacing like for like but the Morphy Richards model was close to ยฃ50 and the Tower model was close to ยฃ25. So, how have I found it....at a basic level, it is still an iron, and gets the job done. I had a Tower air fryer which was basic, but good, and kind of expected this to be the same, which it was. So on this basis, about met fairly low expectations. There are a couple of issues though with the Tower iron. The underside of the handle is cramped by a steaming button, which does make it fiddly to hold. Also, the base unit is oddly designed, and not as stable as the Morphy Richards, or as easy to put the iron onto. With the Tower model, you have to be very precise when placing the iron on the base unit, like you're landing a rocket. I must admit, I do miss the wider base of the Morphy Richards....that being said, the whole reason I was replacing the iron was because I knocked the Morphy Richards off the ironing board when trying to do it too fast. One general gripe with cordless. It does make things easier, particularly when setting the board up, as you don't have to get so close to the socket to be able to reach all ends of the board with the iron. But no one has yet provided a good solution for how to tidy the cable up at the end. An area to coil the cable as part of the base would make a good addition to the design.

Cordless but no battery
Cordless but no battery? Completely useless without the cord and very cumbersome with cord.

I'll be back, for more!!! THANK YOU
First-time buyer, and it wonโt be my last. The item matched the description in the listing and was well priced compared to other sellers. Surprisingly, it arrived early, considering it traveled from the opposite side of the world.
