Great product. Works really fast and very well... Only problem with the product is that the associated software from Acronis comes with a limited period of use... Too bad for both WD and the software org. That is crazy and pours water on the good experience provided by the product and the software... They seem to be fishing for pennies while losing out on the pounds... They will certainly lose market share due to their useless limits on usage of the software. Other competing products don't have this problem.

Great value for money. The build quality feels solid and premium. I especially like the password protection and encryption feature, which keeps my data safe. Backup software is also very helpful. Highly recommended for professionals and students and designers.

I would like to bring to everyone's notice that if you are placing your order for any electronic items from Amazon; please avoid as I'm facing a grave issue post the order was delivered by Amazon. Please read this review carefully for people shopping in festive sale. I recently bought this HDD from Amazon in Great Indian Festive Sale in October 2024. The product was delivered within 4 hours to me. I opened the package & attached the HDD to my laptop using the provided cable. However, to my horror the HDD turned to be dead & din't work on my laptop. I even tried on my desktop as well but same issue. Moreover, I tried using my own cable but same issue. The HDD din't show in the system only. Then I raised for a complaint over Amazon for defective product; I was quite surprised that the product will be replaced from the service center & I've to visit for the same. However, after a while I got contacted by another Amazon representative & they asked me to give them 2 days time period so that they can follow-up to this issue with the brand itself which is WD. In the meantime, I contacted brand as well, both via phone & email. But to my shock the phone line just repeats the tape- "Please contact service center for any replacement." No response from the WD Brand over mail yet. I'm very much disappointed by the Brand (WD), the Amazon & the Seller (Clicktech Retail). Firstly the brand, no clear line of contact/communication with brand service center. Secondly Amazon, they changed the return/replacement policy of all the electronic items; I don't understand this! If any person is buying the product from Amazon; then Amazon should be responsible for the replacement/return of defective product; not the customer who's being asked to chase both the brand & amazon for the replacement/return of the product. Then comes the seller; providing defective dead items to customers. I'm really skeptical about the issue being either fixed by Brand/Amazon. I've been asked to wait for 2 days whereas the return/replacement window is only for 7 days! I spend 12,399/- on a product which is dead on arrival. Hoping for a better solution from both the Brand & Amazon. This is for all fellow customers to be cautious of this issue! You will have to chase a lot & please read the terms & conditions! Failure to this can lead any of us to loose our money very easily. Yes, its convenient for us to order product while sitting at home; but after the recent policy change; I'll prefer to buy products offline at least the offline shopkeeper will provide you with better solution. Will update the rating if this issue gets resolved in this 7 days time period.
