I increased my intake from 4,000 to 6,000 IU about 5-1/2 months ago after finding a rule of thumb that the body needs 2,000 IU per 50 pounds of body weight. I weigh 170. Per last week's blood work my vitamin D serum level (25-hydroxy) is 97.7 mg/dl which is at the high end of the normal range. I take it with meals along with 300 mcg daily of vitamin K2 to keep calcium in teeth and bones where it belongs. This product is like sunshine in a bottle. Small, easily swallowed, no aftertaste, and big results for not much money.

I was impressed that these softgels came from Kirkland! I always appreciate that I can get quality products on Amazon, as I live in a small town with limited choices. Thank you Amazon!

Good price on alot of vitamin d

You don't need a whole bunch of pharmaceuticals to keep you healthy. Figure out what your body might be lacking and find the proper supplements for yourself. Vitamin D3 helps with your immunity which everyone can use. I've been taking it for year and doing well with it. Doesn't mean you will as each person/body is different. My families experience is positive. They are super small little capsules and very easy to swallow. I can't tell you how they taste as I've never broken one open. The outside of the capsule has no flavor.

These are very small softgels, smaller than my previous 1000 IU from another brand.
