Uni-Ball Posca Pencil Oil Box 36 Colours, Multicoloured, Regular

I love pencils, have quite a collection and definitely didn’t need any more but I couldn’t resist these and I am glad I didn’t! They layer and blend beautifully. I use them on hot pressed watercolour paper (as I like some tooth) mainly for colouring stamped images and they are excellent, full of pigment, hard wearing and smooth. They come in a set of 3 stackable trays, a lid and a band to keep them together. My only gripe is there are only 36 colours and they are so good I want more!

These pencils are top quality, suitable for professional artists like myself. I would say these are top of the list with the Caran dache brand at quarter of the price! I'm so impressed by their vibrancy and smooth lay down. I would highly recommend these.

First of all, the outer plastic transparent box of POSCA colored pencils set of 36 has the list of colors and the numbers and it can be cut so you have a copy without the bulkiness of the box. Second, the design is top-notch! The barrel is neither too thick or thin, and it is comfortable to hold. Third, there is no name for the colors individually on the barrel but there is a number on top of the barrel and for me it is okay because you have the list of colors on the box itself which can be cut so you have a copy of them. Fourth, OMG THIS IS THE CREAMIEST, STURDIEST COLORED PENCILS I HAVE EVER HELD AND SWATCHED! The colored pencils are NOT scratchy in any way or form, unlike other brands. Fifth, although the colors can feel restrictive to some artists, I feel like 36 is a lot if you know how to combine the colors using color theory, so for me, the scale is tipping towards its versatility for blendability. Although on the higher-end of the price tag, I believe if you own POSCA colored pencils and use them often, you won't regret it for it is worth the money. I have not tried using any oil medium on the pencil as the box suggests, but the bare colored pencils is enough for me, so I cannot comment on the drying time. Lastly, the design of the inner or plastic box of POSCA colored pencils is chef's kiss! Very tough and holds the colored pencils very well! Well done, POSCA!!!

These pencils are an investment but they are so soft, smooth and butterfly. Great for working with other pens and pencils. Layering works well and blending is great with the colours. Please make more shades!

LOVE LOVE LOVE these pencils. I had a few of these in an art subscription box and enjoyed using them. So when I had money for my birthday, I bought the 36 pencil set. They are just delicious (not that I've eaten them, you understand) They are so lovely and creamy to use, great at layering and so tactile to hold. They come in a brilliant plastic moveable layered box, with a very thoughtful band to go around them. I really NEED more of the fab pencils.

I like the colours (though it would be awesome to have it in all the Posca colours), they are matching up nicely with the Posca pens. It's highly pigmented and the core is a bit harder than what I am used to (like Prismacolors or Arteza pencils) but there doesn't seem to be much filler in it. These are great to use on black paper. Even the darker shades are showing up quite nicely.

Brought for my nephew, he loves drawing and he was very happy but it’s way too expensive.

Die Stifte haben mit den weichesten Kern, den ich je bei Buntstiften hatte. Die Farben lassen sich super layern und mischen. Die Verpackung ist einfach nur genial und ich wünschte andere Hersteller hätten auch dieses System. Durch den Versand ist bei mir keine der Minen gebrochen, sie waren wirklich gut eingepackt. Das Anspitzen der Stifte funktioniert mit einem guten Anspitzer problemlos und man bekommt auch wirklich lange und dünne Spitzen hin, wie man auf dem Bild sieht. die kürzeren Stifte sind durch den häufigen gebrauch so kurz und nicht weil sie beim anspitzen gebrochen sind. Ich verwende sie fast täglich. Schade das es nicht mehr Farben gibt.

Están bien, pero por el precio tal alto y el prestigio de la marca, yo esperaba algo mucho mejor, NO SUPERAN a los colores Prismacolor Premier ni en funcionalidad ni en precio. El nombre cada color solo viene en el empaque de plástico y no en el mismo lápiz de color.

(Sample picture *only* uses Posca pencils for colour, with a tiny bit of graphite for the base sketch only) The Posca colouring pencils are in the Prismacolor arena re: being extremely waxy and creating a lot of residue while using them (especially at full strength re: burnishing). That being said, they are a lot of fun to use, and they are really vivid. They blend nicely with each other because you can often do multiple layers of colours to create the effects you want. They remind me a bit of oil-pastels but aren't as creamy. The packaging is really nice, I especially love that there's a pencil holder underneath the lid, so you can remove it and add the colours you're using to their own tray, without having to dump all of the pencils out of another tray. The colours are very recognisable as Posca colours, and I do wish there was slightly more variety (as a Derwent fan, and a Faber Castell fan, I am used to more variety). But as a starting point, this is really promising. I wish the pencils were a *little* creamier upon use, because when I get this much residue I generally want a creamier pencil.
