Burris Optics Eliminator III Scope for Increased Accuracy

I purchased the scope for my Accuracy International .308 rifle. The scope was easy to install and the included shims proved useful. Initial zeroing to 100 yards was easy (I did bore sight at home before going to the range and this helped the initial rounds to be close to zero). After zeroing at 100 yards, I followed the simple instructions and programmed the scope for the ammunition being used. It helped to write down the ammunition code from the supplied table and write out a 'short list' of programming instructions before going to the range. Once the scope was programmed, I fired four shots in quick succession, each shot at a different distance. The 200, 300, 400 and 500 yard shot each hit at exactly where I aiming on the steel plate. The holdover was perfect each time (there was no wind). I shot a few dozen more rounds, each time varying the distance and each time using the electronic holdover feature. All shots hit home without any difficulty. The scope is outstanding and works as advertised. Admittedly, my scope use is limited to range use during generally good lighting conditions, so I cannot speak to its performance in other settings, like low light or in a hunting application. I also have not tried shooting at a range above 500 yards yet (the local gun range is limited to that distance).

As a Retired US Army Special Forces Sniper Instructor it is a giant leap forward. I could engage five to ten targets at different ranges in the time I could do the math for one target solution. Anyone can learn to shoot long range accurately in minimum time with this scope, recommended ammo, and a good long range rifle.

NO MORE MILL DOT ESTIMATING! This scope is well worth the money i put it on a savage 308 modle 10 with the accu stock 20 moa rail this set up is a hair splitter out to 500 yards have not had the chance to go past that yet one of the main reasons i didnt go with the 16x power but if i had a range or place to shoot 1000 i would of definitely went with the 16x power i have ranged deer out to 600 yards i would not have ne concerns about taking a shot at that distance with this set up and making a clean ethical leathal shot if i needed to...the dot does not wash out in bright light and is not too bright in low light it also comes with shims a sun shade and lense caps lense towel and mounts and a battery....it takes cr123 batteries. (One) also if the battery does go dead and u dont have a spare u can just go old school and use the mill dots..but i always carry a spare back ups to back ups it is dead on with my hand held range finder and also takes the angle of the shot into account has held a zero no problem and was a breeze to get on target shooting 150 grain mostly but have shot the lowest 140 to the higest 180 just reprogram and good to go...is a good idea to make a few copys of the ballistics incade the original gets lost also to write down the few types of ammo u plan on shooting and taping it to the stock of the gun or sum where handy...there is too much to say about this scope i would purchase again and again if i had the funds to do so i would have one on every bolt gun i ownCons... i wish u could program different bullet types in a data base and just select what ur shooting instead of having to reprogram altho programing is easyStill have to acount for windage hold over but the x96 reticle helps with that slso have to account for altitude...for the money that i spent on this scope it should have one in it...i mean my phone has one in it so the technology is there to make them really tinyWish it came with the remote the buttons on the bell can be hard to find i have to adjust my hands when ranging...they are big enough to feel around for and will work with gloves on but it would be nice to have say a pressure switch remote to activate it

I have yet to miss a shot, this scope truly does all the work and calculates your holdover showing you where to aim for the perfect kill shot. Very easy to program and the battery life is great. The glass and reticle are perfect for any condition

Did what it was made for got my Caribou an Moose used it in bad weather held up nice

Love this scope. Have taken three Black Tail deer and one Pronghorn so far with it. Shots were 404, 365, and 386 for the deer and 371 for the speed-goat. All dropped where they stood.
