Is the design in the fabric or is it a plastic coating?

The spikes are slightly padded fabric- my grandson, age 4, wants to wear his Sonic pjs all the time so they must be comfortable!

Birthday present

The media could not be loaded. What won me over from other pj sets, was the spikes on the top side of the pyjama top. They are really cool and I can not wait for my son to wear them and be excited not only for Sonic but also for the almost 3d effect of the blue spikes.The size looks accurate and the quality of this set looks promising. I will update this review in the future after my son has worn it and they have been washed, but for now, I am definitely very happy I purchased this set.
