Q: does the fabric appear shiny? I want a linen texture but not a shiny polyester type look.

It is not shiny fabric is really nice like linen but mine was a little short 94 inches

Q: What is the fabric made out of??? I see it says 'Linen textured"... so guessing its not actually linen....

I believe the fabric is a blend that looks and feels like linen. I love my drapes, they have a nice rich look and feel. They keep the light out and they hang nicely. I am totally happy with these drapes.

Q: Is there bandage to keep it open nicely?

There is no extra tieback but the fabric is heavy enough that it folds and drapes nicely. Hope that helps.
