Reliable kernels for homemade popcorn
These popcorn kernels work well and are straightforward to prepare. They pop reliably and produce fresh, crisp popcorn that can be seasoned however you like. I have had good results with them, and the 1kg bag provides plenty for repeated movie nights or snacks.A simple, good-value option for making popcorn at home.

Great value for a healthy & delicious low cost snack.
As a somewhat of a popcorn connoisseur, these popcorn kernels are excellent. Made properly these will produce the fluffy white popcorn that taste delicious as you'd hope. As a former crisp addict, I was on the hunt for a healthier snack to feast on and that's where I found fresh popcorn. Popcorn has a tarnished reputation due to the volume of highly processed popcorn out there that's often loaded with all those 'bad for you' additives that taste great.Popular calorie loaded highstreet brands often cost ยฃ1.12/100g, however against these at At ยฃ0.22/100g (or ยฃ0.20/100g on a subscribe and save) well I suppose the bigger brands can Kist-my-Butter.For those not in the know, popcorn kernels keep indefinitely with the right, airtight storage although still best not try keep for years. With these tasting so good they won't last anywhere near that long though.I typically open these big bags, decant some kernels in to a separate sealed tub to keep at hand and seal the bag with a plastic clip and stick in to storage until needed again. They make great affordable movie snacks or party food just make sure to shake out those I unpopped kernels. Talking of which I've seen the odd review saying there's a fair few unpopped. Typically across all popcorn kernels you will always get some that don't pop. In my experience these are no better or worse than the next brand. The biggest factor when it comes to popping kernels is how you are making the popcorn. Air popping in the microwave is the healthiest/ cheapest option... however I find it always leaves the most unpopped kernels across all brands. I used to make popcorn this way but gave up.If you're making popcorn in a pot, don't put too many kernels in in the first place. As a general rule I only scatter/ make sure to cover about 75% of the base of the pot with a single layer of kernels to make a full pot. Of course this will depend on the pots but I've use various over the years and this seems to work. Too many kernels will always result in many more seeds and partially popped corn. For anyone interested here's how I make mine, effortlessly, cheap, delicious and relatively healthy.Pan out and stick a dollop of virgin olive oil in the base adding enough kernels to cover 75% of the pan base at one layer thick cover on (glass works the best so you can see). Increase the hob to full, periodically swishing the kernels/ oil around coating them as they go. For sweet get some natural sweetener at the ready (i.e. Erythritol, Stevia etc) You can buy natural sweetener in granules or even just the table form will do (the kind you put in tea/coffee). Keep swishing and as soon as you hear the first 'pop', lift the lid and fire that sweeter in to the pan. It's up to you how much/ how sweet but for an average soup pot I use two tablets.. Let the popcorn pop away shaking it periodically and dialing down the heat as the popping slows. Launch in to a bowl and that's you.. sweet popcorn.Salt and Sweet? Once popped sprinkle with a dash of low salt and shake.Salt and Vinegar?... Wait until popped add low salt and vinegar and shake. That's it! Now you're cooking!Hope This Helps :)

Affordable for great homemade popcorn
I really like these popcorn kernels. I love that they're natural, super affordable, and let you make your popcorn exactly how you want it, whether that's sweet, salty, buttery, or any other flavour.I made mine on the stove in a pan with a lid over high heat using oil or butter, and they turned out really well. You get great homemade popcorn and it's nice being able to control exactly what goes into it.The only downsides for me are that they don't come with microwave bags, if that's something you need, and quite a few of the kernels didn't pop.Overall though, a great affordable option if you want natural popcorn kernels and don't mind making it yourself.

I recently tried the AKSOY 1KG Popping Corn Kernels, and I must say, they are a fantastic addition to my snack lineup! Whether youโre a fan of stove-top, microwave, or air-popped popcorn, these kernels deliver great results every time.First off, the quality of the kernels is impressive. They pop up beautifully, producing large, fluffy popcorn thatโs perfect for movie nights or just a casual snack. I love that theyโre freshly harvested, which really enhances the flavour and texture. Iโve tried various brands in the past, but these kernels definitely stand out.I appreciate the versatility of these popcorn kernels. They work well in different popping methodsโI've used them on the stove with a little oil, in the microwave with a brown paper bag, and even in my air popper. No matter how I prepare them, the results are consistently excellent. Plus, the popping process is quick and easy, making it perfect for those late-night cravings. The taste is another highlight. Aksoy Popcorn 1KG Bag
This popcorn tastes so nice and so fresh. They pop very well. There is no odour at all. These are very healthy as just nice and plain. You can add your own sugar or butter or even honey. Tastes very yummy and most of the popcorn pops. Hardly any kernels left. Very easy to use. You just need around 57 grams of popcorn in the popcorn maker.

Great
Tried first batch. Almost all of them popped. Used heavy pot and veg oil. Had read some negative reviews about not popping. Well these did. Just the ticket for the footy.

Nice quality. Pops easily. Healthy snack.
Lovely big (and sturdy) bag of kernels, and I like that they are non-GMO. They pop well in a silicone popcorn bowl in a microwave with a splash of vegetable oil. They appear fresh (pop easily), and of course popcorn is quite a healthy snack. The one and only criticism is that these are fairly small kernels, and so they produce quite small popcorn - not really an issue, just don't expect to make huge cinema style popcorn from this. Overall : Recommended.

Lacking flavour
Rather disappointing.Hob-popped in coconut oil as I always do. Rather dry and flavourless. Many kernels left unpopped.Since I am very fond of pop corn, I will dispense with the convenience of the delivered product and make the treck to Tesco or Sainsburys for their brands.
