Tabletop Strategy Game, My First Kingdomino, Fun Kids & Adults Family Fantasy Board Game, 2-4 Players, Ages 5+, Dragomino by Blue Orange Games

Wow is this game great! We have a ton of games for children and family to more serious gamers. We own the original Kingdomino, and I enjoy that as a filler. That one can be played quickly and has some fun strategy, and if you want to add in the expansions, you can easily enough for a more rigorous game.This game is light and fun and builds on the same tile laying mechanic as Kingdomino. My kids (6 and 3) are really into dragons and Dragamonz and a dragon game on the iPad that they play every once in a while. This builds on that, and they think this game is the best. The first day we opened it, my eldest played it 5 times, and my youngest played it 3! I taught both of them separately, but teaching each took only about 3 minutes. It’s that quick. Now my youngest doesn’t know any strategy behind it, but has picked up the mechanics quickly. My eldest has learned some of the strategy when placing tiles already to increase the ability to get dragon tokens. Next, we will work more on the probability factor that is also found in this game.Both kids like the art, and when they pick up a dragon tile they are fascinated with them. They name them even. Each tile and token is made of thick cardboard (the tiles are thicker, but both are right for their uses). The insert is made like it should be - with a perfect spot for everything. To help keep things organized, I stack the dragon tokens rather than spread them out while playing to make table organization simple. A whole game takes about 10-15 minutes depending on player count.This game is just fantastic. I have been trying to find good games for my 3 year old to play where we can all play. Both my children like this game the best now for family time which is great because often times they have favorites where the other can’t or doesn’t want to play. This is a must have game for young children because they can easily compete in this game, and parents will like the puzzle aspect of it too.

Good introductory strategy game for my 4 year old. Requires attention to detail and my son loves the baby dragons.

Bought this before my 4 yr old granddaughter visited. It was a hit! The first time we played it seemed a little boring, but by the 3rd round even the adults were enjoying it. Many levels of strategy for the youngest to the oldest player.

My little boy has been wanting to play board games, but most of the ones I have are too challenging for him to fully grasp and most require the ability to read. I realized that Kingdominio and Queendominio didn't require reading, and we did play them before getting this, but Dragonomino is much simpler and faster to play. I also really enjoyed playing this with him, which I can't say about most games geared towards young children. I like that there is an adaptation to make the game more challenging for older children which I'll try out with my older kiddo soon.Edit: I've owned this game for a couple years now. It was a smash hit with other young kids when we went to week-long family conference. Two of our tiles went missing during that time, and I was able to contact the company through their website and get replacement pieces (and they even threw in a couple other goodies as wel!). This remains one of the favorite game choices among my youngest kids, and one that I genuinely enjoy playing with them (which is not something I can say about the vast majority of tabletop games geared towards younger kids).

My wife and I love playing games and are so excited that our 3-year old daughter is finally getting to the age that she can join in. The only problem is that most games for her age group aren't much fun for adults. Despite the recommended age of 5+ we decided to get her this game for Christmas (she'll be 4 in March). I was surprised how quickly she picked it up and is able to play it independently. We did start off stacking the deck a little in her favor by separating out the egg tiles into piles, making one close to her so that she doesn't have to reach across the table *winkwink* and one closer to Mom and Dad. After we realized that it only took her a few playthroughs to get the hang of it and she was having no problems making matches, even finding ways to make double or triple matches on her board and correcting us if we "missed" one when playing our own dominoes, we abandoned the deck stacking and now play a ruthless free for all. She doesn't mind getting the broken eggs because it means she gets to have the Mommy dragon, which is just as good in her eyes. She loves the game and asks to play this and My First Castle Panic almost daily while her little brother is napping or between his bedtime and hers. She even knows how to go through all the set up, pulling out the starting dominoes for each of us and getting the egg tiles laid out on the table in groups.If you have a budding young gamer or want to have one, I can't recommend this game enough. The best part is that it isn't just fun for children, it's a quick (15-20 minutes tops), fun, competitive game even for the adults playing.

While I definitely prefer Kingdomino, this is a great version for kids. Super easy tile laying game for the kids!

I taught this game to my 4 and 6 years old children. They loved it. They teach it to their friends and play. It is a simple dominoes game but with incredibly cute art and wonderful egg tokens. Adults can try to play to the best of their abilities and still lose to their children. The game often feels close so even when someone loses, they feel like they were almost there. One of the best children`s games I have ever played. High recommends.

Lots of fun with my 7 year old kid! Cute art, has a bit of decisions but lots of luck so he has a good chance to win.

Great game for kids. Simple enough that my 6 and 3 year olds can play it independently. Short enough that it holds their limited attention span and replayable enough that I enjoy playing it with them.

Our 5 year old picked this up quickly, and loves playing it. It escapes the child game traps of being painful to play, or entirely random, or overly simple.The quick rounds mean that a game can be played in about 15 minutes. There is some depth of strategy that even young kids can pick up, but not so much that they'll automatically lose if they don't.The pieces are really nice quality and feel great to handle. Good thick cardstock, and a really nicely designed storage box.This is a great game to have on your shelf for younger gamers.

Simple, small box, and really easy to get into. My 4 1/2 year old got the hang of it even though the box is for 5+. We love it and he loves cracking dragon eggs.
