Yes I’ve used the left one on it’s own but I think the right needs to be close by as this is the control one.

Is the volume adjustable directly on the headphones (not from the mobile phone or device)?

Yes adjustable on the earphones. L side turns volume down, R turns it up. Can pause and skip tracks. Takes a little getting used to the tapping for track skipping.

How to connect earfun air to a new device?

Put the earphones in the case and open it and close it like 2 or 3 times. The light on the earphone will start to blink. Then you just look for them on your device
