Amazon distance - works flawless
This cable is worth every penny. I have my TB3 audio system from Universal Audio 75' away from my computer in a separate room. This cable is very thin fiber! Impressive. This was never possible before. Not a single glitch! Save up your cash and buy this brilliant technology from Corning! Bravo!!

Fragile, unreliable. Corning, offers no mechanism for support.
This cable is not as robust as claimed, but I knew that from past experience others have had with fiber tb4 cables in general. I purposely kept the cable gently elevated and ran it across a cushioned zippered sleeving. I ran it unimpinged laterally across 18x 4โ thick 24"x48โ thick rectangular sound absorbers to my TB4 equipped DAW. I had intermittent issues that became permanent with data and power delivery.I suspect power wasnโt getting to my hub.Seller wouldnโt help and he passed the buck to Corning. Corning responded only after a month and did nothing to solve the issue, instead I was greeted with excuses and no one there did anything for me except pass me around.Update second cable also failed after a couple of months. I'm out $400. I will also add this is the loosest USB-C connector Iโve ever encountered and it was unreliable on both windows and Mac.Amazon rectified the first occurrence entirely and I didnโt have to ask nor did I expect them to. I have nothing but high praise for Amazon, they are superb with customer support. Iโm sending the cable to the Corningโs corporate to see if I can get reimbursed.Below is my reply to Corning after months of being ignored and finally receiving a response,After this much waiting your reply falls on deaf ears. I have made Amazon aware of your nonexistent support and they literally refunded me. Thatโs real support. Not your unapologetic tardy excuse of an email. Now you wish for me to send you my equipment so you can do internal troubleshooting? What a tone deaf and delusional response, rest assured I will be editing my review on Amazon accordingly to warn people thinking of purchasing this cable that the seller will not support you after 30 days, the oem has no mechanism for warranty claims, and to be fair Iโll include your your tardy 2 cents to the review, letting the world know the myopic and disconnected attitude your company had towards a customer purchasing a $400 optical cable that is advertised as indestructible, but knowing better I instead treated it with kid gloves and it still failed edited: twice!!

Perfect, just make sure it will work for you before buying
I used this to connect my computer, which is located in my VR room, to my Thunderbolt monitor in my office. It worked great. I routed the cable through some cord hider channels. The cable is very light, but also quite durable. It is just an excellent cable all around for what it does. The biggest negative about this cable is that it doesn't support the new USB4 or Thunderbolt 4 specifications. Unfortunately, this cable came out a while before these new standards were just adopted. Keep in mind that this means that you must be careful to ensure that both sides of the connection support Thunderbolt 3. USB4 Thunderbolt compatibility mode works too, but not all USB4 hosts support it. All Thunderbolt 4 hosts will work with this cable, so long as both sides are powered, since Thunderbolt 4 is USB4 with guaranteed Thunderbolt 3 compatibility mode and some other upgrades. For my purposes, even with just Thunderbolt 3, this is enough to run two 4k monitors at 60 fps with 10-bit color while also having about 15-20 low-speed (<1 mbit) USB devices at any given time connected (I do embedded development with lots of equipment) and gigabit ethernet for my internet (also connected to my monitor). Keep in mind that your displays are the limiting factor, so use an online calculator to figure out how much bandwidth each monitor you have will use against the ~32 gbps total bandwidth. Displays can easily take 10 gbps. You really shouldn't have any issues with everything else unless you are using several gbps for storage, networking, or something else. Thunderbolt 3 prioritizes monitors, so those devices wont impact the display. I have my storage in the computer itself, not connected over this cable, so I don't need to worry about my SSD contending with everything else. One thing to note is that the ends of the cable also get a bit hot. I wouldn't say it is hot enough to hurt you, but it is definitely more than just warm, and that could be a bit concerning. I am really pushing my cable to the max though, so if you don't push it as hard, it might run cooler.Overall, this is an excellent cable and an investment in a durable piece of equipment that will help you connect very distant devices to each other. It is great to move the noise of your computer somewhere else. I hope that the next generation has Thunderbolt 4 support, at which point this cable will be essentially flawless.

a solution to keep the hot MacPro far in the closet :)
While I love my MacPro and its aesthetics, I cannot withstand the heat it creates in my home office room. Was looking for a good solution to keep it far away and at the same time use the Apple Pro Display and other 2 * 27" 4k displays. This cable (well you need 2 of them, one for the Pro Display and another for the USB C hub that power all USB stuff around and 2 * 27" 4k monitors) solved all my issues.

Broke after a month, manufacturer refuses to respond
I bought this cable but had to put my project on pause for a month. Once I got back to it, none of my devices recognized any connection regardless of what combination of dock or computer I threw at it. The seller doesn't allow refunds past 30 days per their policy, and contacting Corning produces no response. This cable has been a complete failure for me for its extreme price.

Magic cable
Light, flexible and very, very long.

WAY too expensive for how weak it is
The cable works, but it's the most fragile cable you will ever see. It's thin like spaghetti and has barely any protection at all. I would expect a $400 cable to have some insulation and protection, this is a joke.

Works great from an unraid VM Gaming machine to a Thunderbolt dock
I ran this along the baseboards under the carpet from a server closet where my Unraid VM gaming machine sits to my desk with a thunderbolt dock. Works perfectly!
