Can i use these in a slow cooker

I haven't used them in my slow cooker but now you have suggested that possibility I most certainly will because I can see no reason why you couldn't

Not as far I know. I believe they are designed for oven use and this is the only way I've used them, always with good results.

No we don't. Cooks a chicken beautifully stays moist and tender. You could carefully open bag and brown but does go brown in the bag
