An excellent addition to my existing Reolink system!
I have nothing but praise for Reolink. After almost a year of using my RLK8-800B6 6-camera 4K PoE system, I recently added two of these Reolink RLC-810A 4K PoE cameras to expand my coverage, and I am thoroughly impressed. I bought these specifically to integrate with my existing system, and they have exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment they arrived, I could tell the cameras were high quality. Delivery was fast, and the packaging was excellent, with each camera individually bagged and secured within tough polystyrene supports to prevent movement or damage during transit. The cameras are essentially identical in appearance to the ones that came with my RLK8-800B6 system, except for a tiny blue seal that is barely visible and white cables instead of black, which will be hidden once installed anyway, so it really isn’t an issue. The metal housings have a smooth white powder coating, giving a professional look while ensuring durability against the weather. The lenses are large and provide a broad viewing angle, allowing me to cover even more of my front and back gardens with clarity I never thought possible. Adding the RLC-810A cameras to my existing RLK8-800B6 system was effortless. Using CAT6 PoE cables, each camera only needed one connection for both power and data. Connectivity has been flawless. The cameras link seamlessly to my existing system, and I have experienced no dropouts or interruptions, even over longer cable runs. The system auto-detects new cameras quickly, making integration simple and reliable. Within seconds of plugging them into the NVR, the new cameras were live and fully integrated with my existing setup. The Reolink app, available on both Android and Apple iOS, immediately recognised the cameras and allowed me to adjust all settings, view live feeds, and manage recordings. I love how everyone in my household can access the system on their phones. Once you pay for the system, that is it. There are no hidden costs and no subscription fees, although cloud storage is available if you prefer. The performance of these cameras is outstanding. The 4K Ultra HD video is crisp, sharp, and full of detail. The smart human and vehicle detection works flawlessly, drastically reducing false alerts from animals or moving branches. Night vision is remarkable, and I can clearly see across my entire garden even in complete darkness. These cameras also support audio recording, which is a welcome addition. I have positioned one above my front door and one above the back door, and the audio clarity is excellent. This feature gives me the confidence to hear anyone approaching clearly, adding an extra layer of security. The red IR lights act as a visible deterrent, adding an extra layer of security. Like my previous system, the RLC-810A cameras come with a two-year warranty, which I was able to extend by six months for free simply by registering online. This gives added peace of mind and shows Reolink’s commitment to customer satisfaction. These cameras have proven to be highly reliable. They integrate seamlessly with my existing system, run consistently without issue, and withstand all weather conditions. Expanding my setup with the RLC-810A cameras has been a smooth process, and I could not be happier with the results. Reolink’s quality and attention to detail continue to impress, and the system remains easy to use and highly dependable. If you are considering expanding your Reolink system, the RLC-810A cameras are an excellent choice. They are durable, feature-rich, and integrate effortlessly with existing 4K PoE setups. I am delighted with the increased coverage, the clear audio, and the enhanced security they provide. Reolink continues to earn my loyalty, and I would recommend these cameras to anyone looking to improve or expand their home or small business security system. Thank you for taking the time to read my review. I hope you found it helpful and that it assists you in your decision-making. I try to be as honest and fair as possible, as those have always been the reviews that helped me the most.

Excellent quality and value for money CCTV
Very easy to set up with just a POE injector, WIFI Pod and a 256gb micro SD providing 4-5 days of recordings. No need for an NVR, unless you want more than one camera, Fantastic picture, day and night. All in all, cost less than £100 to have a very good CCTV system at home that you can view from anywhere in the world with a wifi or data connection. Highly recommend for piece of mind.

Slightly tricky to set up with Synology but great picture
Initial impressions are good. This unit is replacing a HikVision that I had for years with no problems but I felt I needed better quality. Set up was not too tricky. Key is to download the Reolink App and change to a new password. I am using Synology Surveillance Station and setting this up was a bit weird. The camera make and model are specified in the Surveillance station, and it would allow a test connection but never remain connected. Same with OnVif camaera type. Eventually I found you need to enable on the Reolink app : Device Info > Network Information > Advanced 1) http to access via a web browser. 2) RTSP 3) OnVif I’m not certain which of RTSP and OnVif or both are needed. In the Reolink device web page (you get to this logging into the IP address of the camera) the settings are in a different place. Its Network > Advanced > Server setting. BUT you need to have used the app it seems to change password and then turn on HTTP. I’m liking the quality of image but haven’t seen a daytime stream yet. Downside is field of view is a bit narrower than the old camera. Hoping the reliability is good. I use HomePlug for network with a PoE adapter and the old ones would occasionally need a reboot (the homeplug not camera). I also have some wide trunking to keep the cables out of sight. If this behaves itself I will replace my other one. The Reolink app seems very good for the limited interaction I have had. I didn’t use an SD card (not sure if I will - it’s required for time lapse on the Reolink app), but I can do it on Synology. I think detection could be better than Syno - it says flies and insects won’t trigger false alerts.

Where do I begin
Having read reviews and articles on this camera I decided to buy and connect it to my home network with the aim of using Synology Surveillance Station to manage it which it claims supports many different cameras. It was easy to setup but I was getting a lot of pixelated videos and also parts of the screen were blocked out in green on all of the resolution settings apart from 640*360. Not much use for a security camera! I was expecting something better than that. Researching this a bit more I wondered if somehow each motion activated video could be FTPd to the Synology NAS drive. Surely that's what it's doing already by connecting to my network and managing it in Surveillance Station? Anyway, the Youtube video 'E1Zoom - How To Save Footage To Synology FTP Server' shows you how to do it. Also, the Youtube video 'Setting Up Email Notifications _ Reolink Cameras' shows you how to configure the camera without using Synology Surveillance Station. All of this can be done by simply typing in the IP address of the camera in your browser. You don't need to download any software. Just as well as all my hardware at home is Linux based. I no longer have any issues as described above and now get high quality MP4 video files uploaded to my Synology NAS. The Reolink app is good too. In summary, an excellent camera but only after a lot of time researching and tweaking which now provides very good results. Hope this helps anyone experiencing issues with setting up this camera.

Telecamera di ottima qualità. Tutta in metallo.
