Initially purchased a OEM replacement lamp for almost $35. Found this replacement that not only is LED but you get two for half the price of one OEM replacement. Took me 10 minutes to replace both old lamps. I have a 2011 Ford Fusion. I just removed the two screws from the inside trunk handle and 4 plastic trim tabs, then pulling back the liner to expose where the lamps are. Pushed on the two plastic tabs and unplugged the quick connects. Replaced with the two new units that are super bright compared to OEM bulbs. Highly recommended.

They worked perfectly on my 2014 Mustang. Direct plug-and-play swap. The only possible downside to these is that they may be too bright! They light up the ground behind my car pretty significantly!

Context: I had one bulb out over the license plate, but the plastic cover which actually braces the metal prongs for the bulb had busted. In the end, I needed an entirely new fitting and chose to replace both fittings at the same time. Went to a few auto parts stores looking for good deals. Cheapest I could find was $30 EACH WITHOUT THE BULB INCLUDED. In the end, the lowest price I could get locally from a big box store was $75 total before tax. Saw these on Amazon for $13. Pros: - Shipped fast. - Very easy installation. - Fit exactly even though some reviews mentioned them being a slightly looser fit than factory replacements. This was not my experience - they fit great. - Bright. - Price. Cons: - They are lightweight and entirely plastic; not sure it's a true con yet, but only time will tell. - LED's inside the fitting look cheap, but again, only time will tell if they burn out sooner than expected. Overall: I saved some serious money (around $60) by purchasing these on Amazon. I always try to support my local big box stores that employ local workers, but I couldn't get myself to overpay quite that much.

So to install these, you’re going to need to undo the carpet from the back of the trunk. But after you do that it’s easy as pie to kick the original housings out of the mount and have the others plugged in - all in about 10 minutes (less if you aren’t just eyeballing it to try to figure out how to do it). It fits in firmly. Gaskets are better than the condition mine were on from 2010. I love hitting the unlock button and seeing how brilliantly bright (but not aggressively so) these are. The only flaw? They wash out the visibility of the rear view camera. I’m considering some electrical tape or maybe finding a film to put over the part closest to the camera, or a shield around the camera (?). I’m sincerely not sure what will solve this issue. But this is the only flaw I’ve run into. Otherwise, it’s been great 3 month update: Finally got around to putting a little tint on these. I did the two passes with a spray tint and it cut the glare down considerably. Even with the tint, they’re still 2-4x brighter than stock. I’m considering doing another pass or two over them. My backup camera isn’t absolutely washed out anymore but it does seem to get a little more light than I’d like.

My focus has them little apologetic lights on the rear plate that kept leaking when it rained and going on and off at random and one had kinda melted. I don't need to get pulled over for something as preventable as bad lighting on my plate so I went with these LED alternatives. They go in just the same as the originals. Not bulbs I mean the whole housing. You can take out those old ones with the dim bulbs still inside them when you throw them in the trash. These fit perfectly and I'm not joking here.... These are bright like you almost wonder if they are allowed to be this bright. I personally love it no tailgaters at night anymore! Lol Seriously these are amazing. If you want a real nice clear license plate that can be read about a block away this is the answer. My coworkers were like damn dude those are bright! And that was in the early afternoon. Be bold, be Seen and if one goes bad don't even worry you got more light than most cars 2 lights have. Try these! I love em!

This is a plug n play lamp. It fit perfectly, plugged into existing harness and are nice and bright

Went in well. 100% you have to remove the carpet/ fiber shield on the trunk inside to do these properly. You will break the connectors if you just try to stuff the in with the connectors in from the outside. Almost way too bright. No chance the cops won't notice you now... Quality seems decent and they fit well.
