Ball Half Pint (8 oz.) Regular Mouth Glass Mason Jars w/ Cap - Set of 12 AEP

As a homesteader who does a lot of food preservation (canning, dehydrating, etc.), these Ball Wide Mouth Pint mason jars are excellent. I go through them constantly and highly recommend them. Why they’re great: • Classic reliable Ball quality with strong lids and bands. • Wide mouth makes filling and cleaning easy. • Perfect size for jams, sauces, veggies, and many other preserves. • Durable and reusable for years. If you preserve food at home, keep a good supply of these on hand. They’re the gold standard. Picture below is meal prepping Greek yogurt and store each serving in jar and can top with granola.

Nice size wide mouth jars for storage any food or non edible items. The two step lid closure works extremely well and the jar itself is very thick, not easy to shatter. Have not and will not use in microwave, do not want chance breaking or make tiny fractures within the glass itself. I have a thing for transparent jars of any kind, don't ask.

I wanted to find a glass container that I could use as a snap top pitcher. Previously, I had bought a County Line Kitchen one that works awesome, but when I went to buy another, I was disappointed to find all their lids were redesigned with stupid space wasting handles. I managed to find mason jar lids for a reasonable price on here that were wide-mouth, and I took a chance to see if these jars would fit them. Couldn't be happier! They are made of very sturdy glass. The material is good quality. Having read the reviews advising against using the dishwasher on them, I've been hand-washing them. But the wide-mouth makes it super easy for that. I couldn't be happier with these. The lids that came with these are also good too and seal very well if you'd like to use them to store dry things. I use mine with the flip top lids so I can store iced coffee in my refrigerator. I LOVE these jars.

Canning lids are very sharp on the outer edge, they will cut you. Be careful!! Mason needs to look into e!!

Jars are exactly what I expected. Robust, clear glass. Covers and rings came screwed onto the hard so there was no warpage. But the BEST was the way the jars were packed. Ordering glass online can be dicey at best-often ending with at least some of the order cracked or broken. These were wonderfully packed. I actually had to use a razor knife to cut through what I initially thought was a form of bubble wrap. So if you want excellent jars to arrive intact, order throw this vendor.

Have always stuck to the same brand of mason jars and now the replacement lids I use on the jars also happen to fit nicely on a couple of sets of sprouting jars I use, so that makes the soaking phase of the sprouting process easier and free from risk of spillage, by using the Ball lids. Have always used Ball jars for soaking wild rice prior to cooking, as well as chickpeas and quinoa, before I discovered the benefits of sprouting them. These jars are perfect for storage, easy to clean and with replaceable lids, they should last a lifetime. These 1000ml jars can soak up to a cup and a half of chickpeas. They are sturdy, with measuring scales in metric and imperial units marked on two sides.
