World Politics: Interests, Interactions, Institutions (Third Edition)

This is the first book I needed for my Harvard IR class and it's one of the most well written, insightful, and non-boring books I've ever had to read. Excellent resource for all things international relations.

The book came in good condition. My teacher uses it for his Global Issues class, however he teaches it in Chinese so this is always good to refer back to when I don't catch a couple of things that he says

Fascinating book! This is being used in my Intro to International Relations class and I think it does a great job in portraying a framework to view events neutrally and methodologically. Very clear writing with many good examples. Honestly changed the way I view the world. It's one of those textbooks you want to keep even and reread after the class ended!

I never thought I would enjoy reading a textbook. This textbook is very modern and recent.

I am renting this book for a class, and this book is SO interesting. It is clearly laid out and theories are well-exemplified by real-world issues. A wealth of information. I get excited to do my reading!

The chapters tend to drag on, and are too wordy for their own good; the same idea will be repeated multiple times in the same chapter. Overall, it's an informative, if a bit tedious textbook, certainly not the greatest textbook I've worked with, but not the worst either.

I used this book A LOT for my World Politics class. The writing is easy to understand; the book is colorful and informative. The "interests, interactions, and institutions" aspect is applied thoroughly throughout the whole book (and I think I agree with this perspective). This was well-researched, well-intentioned, and well-written. Bravo.
