Let’s start with the most important point. If you need to drill a number of holes, especially if they need to be quite big, in concrete or brick, this drill is fantastic. A normal combi hammer drill is OK for render or old bricks, but if you have to tackle something really hard, you need an SDS drill. You will be shocked at how quickly this thing will blast through the toughest material including solid natural rock like granite. Secondly, the value for money here is outstanding. I have seen some people complaining that they have seen it cheaper elsewhere, but I think that £160ish for a brushless SDS drill with a case, charger and original Dewalt battery is pretty great. The original 4ah battery alone is worth around £50 so personally I’d rather pay that than just get a bare tool for about £110 or so. People seem to have become weirdly unrealistic about what a decent cordless, brushless tool, with case battery and charger is worth! Overall, very, very highly recommended.

The drilling power of this tool is the bomb! I had a Bosch sds before that I thought was good, but this drill eats it for breakfast! I live in a stone house and the normal 18v drills just leave a scratch, but this bad boy drills effortlessly and immediately, much quicker than my Bosch did! I did have a look around at other sds drills, and this is a lot cheaper and has better stats than all the others.

You may pay a bit more money for a DeWalt product, but you will get a work horse! I use this very often & works well

I had 2 other drills, including a hammer drill. I have broken drill bits and wasted a lot of time before buying this one. - incomparable; this one drills through things that my other drills never could! Very highly recommended!

Absolute bargain for 100 quid. I wanted an extra battery and for not much more I got a charger and a decent sds.
