Ok, got to say I am really impressed by this compact vacuum cleaner.I bought it from the Amazon outlet at £40 and it comes with a second year warranty if you register with manufacturer.It's nice and compact and easy to carry.I was really surprised by the suction and the amount of dust and dirt it lifted when we redecorated.Great value for money.The power cord is quiet long too so handy for stairs. To empty you just unclip the bottom.Comes with some attachments too for narrow spaces.Id recommend this to anyone

Nice and light and compact hoover, very powerful motor good suction for a small hoover, done a good job hoovering my car. only problem was that i tried to retraction the plug lead back into the hoover it was a bit slow and left about 6inchesof cable out it didn't all retract back into the hoover unless i pushed the rest of the cable into the hoover.

Arrived as exoected. Very good hoover. Light weught and easy to use. More powerful than expected. Easily picks up dog hair from carpets.

I had to return the first one of these as the plug had been bent in transit and would not plug in. I cannot fathom how Amazon's algorithm for returns works as it offered me a £5 partial refund to keep the item. It would cost me at least £20 to repair it myself since I would have to buy a proper wire stripper to remove the plug, a new plug and crimp. And it would be at least £20-£30 to get a shop to do that for me?Anyway otherwise the return was painless so I am not really complaining about that. They sent out a new one quickly and even before I had returned the faulty one.This hoover is just wonderful, exactly what I wanted. Nice and compact, and powerful all the same. It is guaranteed for 2 years so that gives me some peace of mind. I had been using a little car hoover to clean my flat but it had sort-of broken and I desperately needed to clean up. Glad I went with a mains powered unit as it is powerful, and the 1.5 litre receptacle is ample and you don't need to empty it all the time. Also the mains cable goes back into the machine when you press a button and the cable is a generous length so I can clean the whole flat via plugging it in in the hall outlet.I already have a Russell Hobbs freezer for 3 years and I am pleased with that. Since they offer a decent guarantee with their products this brand seems to still be a good one. Always better to pay a little more to stay with a decent brand than buying cheap as modern tech products can be really awful. All-in-all a great buy, very happy with it (even though the cats are not !).

I am a little disappointed in this. I bought it to clean the stairs and bedrooms because my Shark, although it cleans very well, is very heavy and unwieldy. The Russell Hobbs is certainly small and light. It cleans carpets pretty well, and picks up bits. However, the lead and hose are on the short side and it barely reaches to the top of the stairs. The metal tube is also short: I am only 5' 4" and I have to bend forwards when using it fully extended. It would be uncomfortably short for someone much taller than me. The dust container is also small although, to be fair, that is clearly indicated in the product description. One of the wheels has an annoying squeak (which doesn't affect performance), and the whole thing has a cheap, plasticky look and feel. I think this is ok for vacuuming small areas, and suitable for less tall people, as well as people who would have difficulty in handling a heavier vacuum.

Having had issues with cordless we opted to go back to something basic but effective.Had a look through hoovers and saw the reviews for this. We have 2 dogs, one of which is a husky - if you know, you know.For the price this is a brilliant hoover. Unlike Henry it doesn't hug every corner it finds or throw itself on the floor like Premier league footballer. Its light weight but sucks better the village bike.Cordless is a nice idea but like most things is built to break so while your midlife crisis craves a Dyson, save your money and get this!

Lightweight and effective. Does the job and holds a lot before it needs to be emptied. Powerful yet quiet!
