- Clotted Cream - 6 oz

This arrived sealed and wasn't spoiled which it was a concern. This was the first time having clotted cream, and I called some friends in the UK about it. From their description, I should have received a thick heavy cream that you can use a spoon to just "take a mouthful". What I received was something very close to butter that had some liquid on top. trying a taste, I was surprised that it reminded me of unsalted butter. I refrigerated the cream like it said after opening and shortly after it hardened like butter. I assume that with the high fat content what received was clotted cream that had been churned into butter during shipping. It doesn't really have a taste and it melts like butter. So its great on toast with jam but so is butter. So this isn't clotted cream when it arrived at my house but butter.

When I received the product the seal on the jar was already broken. It's supposed to be refrigerated after opening so this is probably spoiled. Guess I'm just going to throw it away since it can't be returned. I'm not happy at all. Even though it was expensive I was looking forward to serving it at a tea. Don't bother wasting your money.

Was a little apprehensive purchasing after reading reviews of receiving moldy product, but that wasn’t the case with the jar I received. Will definitely order from here again as I need to make special trip to the store that carries it.

As good as you can get outside of an actual English tea room. We buy it to put on scones and love it.

This was not luxury clotted cream. The consistency is not what I used to buy myself off the shelf at the grocery store before I moved to a rural area. It was like unsalted butter in a jar, but harder and with zero flavor. It tore up my delicious scones when I tried to spread it on them. I wish I read the reviews first because, apparently, there are no regulations or quality control governing this product. DO NOT BUY THIS.

Only buy the clotted cream if you are planning on using it up quickly once opened. It does not keep past 2 days after opening. Apparently I remembered clotted cream differently from my time living in the UK and thought it'd be fun to introduce it to my family. Sadly, we didn't have a lot of use for it. It seems it was more fun back in Oxford. But, it was cool to try. Wish it would keep better after opening.

I just visited England where I enjoyed this with afternoon scone and tea. This Clotted Cream took me back to that experience. It is great.

I like the product very much. I've ordered this product before from a different website it was sent chilled and was in very good condition. Amazon did not send it chilled and it wasn't creamy at all. I had to chill it then warm it up to room temperature. I had to stir it, I had to chill it again, I had to bring it to room temperature again. It finally was in the state it should be in to use and eat. Again the product itself is very good, but the way it was shipped it was not immediately user-friendly at all. It tastes great once I finally got it into a form where I could spread it on scones.
