Mr Bear Family Moustache Wax (30ml/1.01oz) - Made in Sweden (SCENT: Citrus)

Some of the best wax out there. It's easy to apply and doesn't hold a strong scent, in fact the scent disappears in about 10 minutes. Warning though, it is a very strong wax so you don't need to use a lot. I found that out the hard way the first time...

Container: Obviously fabulous, just look at that bear. How could I not try this brand? 5.5 cm wide by 1.7 cm deep. Scent: Despite purchasing "Citrus" I was shipped "Wilderness" scented wax. It's fine. Scent is never much of a concern with mustache wax to me since all scents seem to disappear within a few minutes regardless. Workability: Initially I found the wax very tacky and hard to spread, it wasn't until I hit it with a hairdryer once that it became more manageable. Since then I've been able to heat up the hard wax enough with a combination of my pocket warmth and my breath (breathing hot air onto the dollop on your thumb nail). It will spread smoothly and harden with time. I don't have to use more than a few scrapes, but then again I prefer a little bit of a more unruly look. Hold: Fair, I'm upgrading from a Fisticuff's medium hold wax which had essentially no hold. Mr. Bear does well keeping hairs out of your mouth and the ends up of handlebar erect to an extent. Holding tight curl ability was mediocre. Like many folks one side of my stache curls much easier than the other. So on that side holding a tight curl was no problem. The other side tragically will not hold a tight curl. As such I've settled on more of a swoop curl than a tight curl. If you have uncooperative hair like me and want a tight curl you may want to consider some alternatives like curling irons or hair spray (not kidding, just look around the internet). Lasting: If you want tight refined control I can't help you. I fidget too much and have to put on a surgical mask for work regularly so my stache gets beat up during the day. That being said, despite severe abuse throughout the day my stache had yet to droop with this wax, it may lose its fine point, but my handlebar has stayed prominently erect much to the thrill of my daily counterparts. Color: Color never matters. Like all cases, this one included, the wax will not change the color of your stache. I have the blondest stache ever and it sure didn't get any darker with this wax. Grains of Salt: This is my first hard wax, so I can only give you personal usage accounts (thus against medium wax), I cannot compare or contrast it to any other hard wax brand.

Das Wachs is sehr hart. Das ist kein Kritikpunkt, sondern ein Pluspunkt. Hartes Wachs wird eben für sehr starken halt benötigt... Mit dem Fingernagel rauskratzen, in den Fingern verreiben und in den Schnurri einarbeiten. Sollten kleine Krümelchen (was selten vorkommt) im Bart hängen bleiben einfach den Fön mit niedriger Hitze auf den Bart und mit den Fingern einarbeiten. So wird das wachs kurzzeitig flüssig und verteilt sich super! Hält den ganzen Tag und die Nacht, auch nach langen Clubnächten oder Sport sitzt der Bart top :).

To be honest - the smell is fantastic, lemon citrus, yum. HOWEVER - I could not warm the product sufficiently to apply it well -it says to keep it in your pocket, but that didn't work...I even held it for a decent amount of time over the toaster but to no avail. Now this may be the same for all 'stache wax as I have never used it before but it is currently sitting in a draw unused, so very disappointing. As a result of this I actually stopped growing out my moustache :(
