Update on 8/13/23 After reading all the horror stories with other mini fridge’s that are sold on Amazon, I am still quite pleased with this unit. It seems that all of these have a functional life of nine months to maybe a year. The difference is that when it died, there was a no fuss, no muss contact with Astro AI and they promptly shipped a brand new replacement to my home! Yes, it was frustrating that I went through the original item purchased in May 2021 and 2 replacements. But they stood by their warranty.!!!! The last fridge just died a few days ago when the temperature gage started going crazy saying it was 110. My refrigerator/ Freezer thermometer is showing its 65. So it’s cooler than the air-conditioned room that I am in but that is too far from the normal food safe temp of 40.Today I appear outside the 2 year warranty, but I have until May of 2024 because I bought the extended warranty from Asurion. Obviously hi think their warranty service is deserving of their continued five star rating from me ..Purchased on Amazon sale under $50.00. I was concerned after reading so many negative comments about it dying In a few days that I decided to buy the three-year warranty.First and foremost, this mini-fridge is still an electric cooler. It does not have the same cooling capabilities of a regular full-sized kitchen refrigerator. It advertises about temperatures in the high 30s and so far has done that!!! Just be forewarned that as the manufacturer clearly states, it’s cooling capability is affected by the environmental room temperature. Mine is in my nice, cool air conditioned home office room as opposed to being outside on the patio. While it is best to place pre-chilled items in the fridge, I routinely replace an ice cold mini-fridge soda or water with a room temp item with minimal temperature fluctuation.Out of the box it has met my expectations!!!!. I can safely store my insulin pen, boiled eggs, and sargento Cheese snacks, along with ice cold cans of soda. The built-in indoor temp gauge shown in the outside has proven to be accurate when compared with the fridge/ freezer thermometer I placed inside it. See pics and note the internal temp is in the 40 and under food safe range!Note: Because there were so many complaints about this unit dying or not working properly I did purchase the additional three-year warranty for about five dollars as a precaution. I’ve only had it a few weeks I will update this review as needed.

Of course, those things don’t matter when the item doesn’t work as intended. I bought this for my daughter’s 13th birthday for skincare products and it has never worked since receiving. We set it at 35 degrees, the unit makes noise as if working, but the temp gauge shows 72 degrees, and it is room temperature inside. I recommend buying a more expensive unit that works- you get what you pay for I suppose!

The good: Goes down to 35 degrees. Size is not a HUGE issue, I was able to fit 2 water bottles in comfortably with room for snacks and other small stuff. Its really not TOO loud, the sleep mode lowers the fan a little bit but not by much, definitely wont keep you up at night. Its really easy to setup, light in weight and easy to use.The bad: OK, here we go. The only MAJOR bugaboo I would say is the temperature....while it does go down to 35 degrees, it takes A LONG time to get there. I have not formally timed it but from plug in to 35 I would say a little over an hour. Which makes sense, its not huge. Where my issue lies is the maintenance of this. My room stays, generally at 70 degrees or around that. For some reason, this cooler will fluctuate GREATLY. Like within the past hour, I noticed it at 35 and now it has reached 50 degrees. Its set for 35. I also found that just opening it for a second will do this as well as putting something it like a room temp water bottle. Not a huge huge deal but definitely the biggest negative for me. The only other negative is the sleep function. It doesnt do much. Youre better off just keeping it on all the time. Oh and it did blow my fuse one time because I had a diffuser plugged into the same outlet, so just beware of that.Other than that I would say 4 stars. The temp thing is a big deal for me. Besides that its a 5 star. I mean, I did buy it to keep things COLD at 35 not 50. Definitely worth the money. Good value for the money

First let me say that I did order this as a used product. I was under the impression that when something is listed as used with minor blemishes but still useable that Amazon had actually checked to see that the item WORKS. It arrived in great shape, a slight mark on the inner shelf and the box a bit rough, but when I pulled it in, despite the temp settings and power button being on, the fan never started moving. I looked through the manual and did all the things it said, then went to the website about the warranty. The website goes nowhere. This item is not listed, and when you try to enter your Amazon order number to register for a warranty or get product help, it doesn't do anything, doesn't allow you to enter anything, and basically looks like a foreign scam website. I went through the return process for Amazon, requesting that UPS pick it up, and was given the message that they would arrive today and leave a label IF they couldn't get hold of anyone... But they didn't even try, they just left a label. I specifically asked for pickup because I don't have a car and work from home!If this has actually worked out would have been great, the size is perfect for what I need and I like that I could adjust the temperature. But the lack of ability to get support or even try to register for a warranty makes this a big NO for me. I will be ordering a replacement with a more reputable company.
