That 5GHz network connection is now possible
Why I bought it:I had a laptop that was just old enough that it didn't support the 5GHz option and that is what I needed for use in an office setting. The write-up on this device made it sound like it would do the job so I decided to give it a chance. My observations:Did someone mention tiny? I like the fact that it is indeed small, and easy enough to put in and pull out without breaking out a tool. There is also a small pinhole in the top that shows a green light when it is working. The software for the adapter came on a small CD, about half the standard CD size. The good:I installed the drivers without incident, plugged in the adapter and it immediately found the additional network options. Piece of cake. The not-as-good:It is just big enough that if you aren't careful and don't remove it that it could catch on the side of your computer bag, potentially damaging the USB port. Honestly though, I wouldn't lose much sleep over that. Had it that way for some time now and it hasn't happened yet.Summary:Overall, it does what I need it to do and what it was advertised to do. If you need to connect to a 5GHz, this will do the job. I love mine.

Good USB WiFi adapter for price.
originally I purchased this for my father's XP running computer. Unfortunately, I was unable to connect to my father's router. So, I removed and saved it at my home. When my Gigabyte WiFi/Bluetooth card stopped working recently, I installed the USB WiFi adapter in my computer. Been working like a charm. Picks up a huge amount of surrounding WiFi from the building I am living in. I still can't seem to connect to my Router for some reason. I used the Router's Wifi Key to connect. I don't know if that is a problem with the Wifi USB adapter or my router or some setting in Windows 10 Pro that I need to adjust.

Automatic detection on Windows 10, no problems.
After replacing a hard drive on my Lenovo z570 and reinstalling Windows 10 from media, I discovered that Lenovo had done something weird with the BIOS and wireless adapter (and SDcard reader) and although the wireless worked fine after the upgrade, it no longer worked from a clean install (multiple reports by other users too). So I tried a different USB adapter that seemed to be causing my laptop to lock up frequently, though I couldn't be sure if there were other factors. I got this one instead. It does come with a small driver CD but since Win10 detected and installed it immediately I chose to skip the driver install for now. I haven't done a lot of big file copying since I started using it, so if that seems to be slower than 600Mbps I may try the drivers. So far, overall performance has been great and there have been no lockups after a few days of using it. I prefer the low profile. Wish I'd seen this one the first time I looked, but there didn't seem to be many options for 600Mbps adapters without antennas that day. In any case, I can recommend it.

Recomment the Motoraux 600Mbps Dual Band wireless USB wifi
I was so excited when I saw the wireless connector icon pop up at the bottom of the screen. According to the directions, I was to download the driver from the small CD that was sent with the Motoraux 600 Mbps Wireless USB. my problem there was, my DVD Rom is a vertical one and the small CD that come with it wouldn't stay in the rom. Finally, I just plugged the wireless connector into the USB port and it popped right up downloading the drive on my windows 10 desktop. I loved it, it was so quick and the easiest thing I have ever installed. I highly recommend this little job for any one wanting a wireless computer in a room without a modem and router. It is great, easy to install and workes like a charm. My experience with this was all pro's, only con was the CD was too small to stay in a vertical DVD player but didn't even need it so that wasn't an issue either.

The configuration it's not easy, the CD that comes is not possible to ...
I bought it to use on a Macbook pro. I'm extremely unhappy with the product. The configuration it's not easy, the CD that comes is not possible to use on Macbook because is small size. I didn't find any site to download the drivers and I had to go to a PC to transfer the driver from the CD to a Pen Drive. The configuration is not clear and the connection drops permanently, some times I spend 20 minutes trying to connect to wifi, when in the same place with the same WiFi other devices can connect in seconds. If the signal is so good works fine, but for who will use in not controlled environments, like cafes, hotels, airports, simply will be painful. If I can solve the internal Wi Fi problem of my mac on time, I will return the product.

Works as advertised. Modestly easy install. Instructions are bad but if you have any PC skills you can figure it out.
Works as advertised. Modestly easy install. Instructions were bad but if you have any PC skills you can figure it out.I used this to upgrade the WIFI on an old laptop. This laptop is eight years old, maybe more. But it is fully functional and has a nice screen on it. So I put in a 60$ SSD and this thing. Originally this laptop was useless for surfing and internet, since the internet has become so aggressive in pushing video adds and all that. But with the SSD and this wireless USB it has become a very passable internet computer. It was just an experiment for me, but it worked.
