Not my Nag Champa
Not the Nag Champa I wanted. This smells like burnt rubber and smoke, hardly any fragrance. There are two manufacturing methods for the authentic Shrinivas Sughandalaya nag champa, one is a stick of charcoal which is then dipped in the masala (the fragrance mix), and the other method does not use a charcoal centre, instead, the masala is directly rolled into the bamboo stick. Good Nag Champa with a clean, uplifting smell uses the latter method. If you see the photos I have attached, you can see the charcoal centre, which produces a general smoky smell when burnt. Additionally, these sticks are a darker colour in general than what I have come to expect. Usually, the hand-rolled Nag Champa is of an uneven width all along the stick, clearly hand-made, with a perfectly tan-coloured exterior and interior.I have researched this, and even though this is supposedly the Bengaluru Nag Champa, which is supposed to be a superior product, I’m disappointed. Did covid19 affect production methods? Did the Bengaluru factory start to use machine rolling methods?I’ve posted photos of the two different products. What I consider to be the real Nag Champa is on top. The key differences are: the true Nag Champa has a holographic foil tape which keeps the box sealed, and the “Shrinivas Sunghundalaya” name is printed in shiny gold foil without the (BNG) so appears to not be from Bengaluru. However, the real Nag Champa also has both addresses on the front, Mumbai and Bengaluru (so could still be manufactured in Bangalore?).I’m disappointed but I do not blame the seller, I blame the product. The confusion arises from these two different production methods, and the fact that both companies have the right to use the same Satya Sai Baba and Shrinivas Sughundalaya names and box design. It’s a good-size box at a very good price and will keep it as back-up incense, but I will not buy again.

Awful
The box these arrived in looked for all the world as if it had been opened and resealed. Similarly the packet inside looked oddly crumpled.I've been to India and smelled proper nag champa insense. These smell nothing like those, but more the smoke of charcoal that's been quickly dipped in a pungent chemical.I'll never buy these again.
