I've purchased a number of SanDisk products over the years and have yet to be disappointed. This is my first purchase of the Flash Drive Ultra and I find the quality and performance to be excellent. Speed is good and well within the benchmarks stated as far as read/write speeds. I'm not real crazy about the thumb open / close mechanism allowing dust or other foreign matter to infiltrate the Male USB port insert, but I guess time will tell. At this price point per drive, I don't really have much to complain about. I generally do a visual inspection of my drives anyhow, so blowing dust particles out or using a Q-tip dipped in Alcohol to remove any debris is simple enough. The instructions are straight forward and easy to understand for even the most untechnical amongst us and the RescuePro Deluxe Software included is a very nice feature for when those magical "OOPS!" moments occur. I think most of us have had at least one occurrence that left us scrambling for data recovery software after a drive was corrupted or an accidental deletion of files and folders that bypassed the desktop Trash Bin. The application comes with both Mac OS and Microsoft compatible versions ready to install from the disk as well as a download link for any additional copies. reliable and has a high quality feel. ive had this for a while and its been through drops, been stepped on, crushed, and it still works flawlessly. it transfers data very fast, small enough to keep in a pocket.

These small USB drives are great for our family needs. They have more than enough memory for our family to pass files, photos, and other home video to each other. This has worked for our family computers. We have seen no issues with the drives. The slide in and out is a nice bonus when transporting.

My 11" inch Early 2014 MacBook Air was running Catalina which I updated from Sierra myself and due to it being unsupported, a lot of apps like blender, obs studio, cinebench, and more wouldn't work and I couldn't use the latest version of any web browsers like Chrome, brave, opera gx, and Firefox. So I decided to buy this flash drive to change my laptop to a supported OS. I thought of using windows 10 but I found out Microsoft was gonna stop supporting it in 9 months, so I decided to install Linux mint instead for longer support. I had to run Linux mint 21.3 instead of 22.1 because it wouldn't recognize the laptop's ssd for some reason. After I made a clean install of Linux mint 21.3, everything worked except for the camera, I will try to fix that soon. This flash drive helped me give this laptop a second life and stay away from becoming e-waste. I can now use the latest version of almost all apps, except for windows only apps like undertale yellow which made me very happy. PROS: -It is small -Retractable -Shock resistant(I dropped it many times, yet it still didn't break!) -It is speedy, I'm able to flash iso files within just a minute or two. CONS: -No LED(I was hopping that this flash drive would have one to see if it was active) In conclusion, this is 100% worth your money.

I purchased this when my current item (128GB) became too small to hold a full system backup of Windows 11. At first, I was confused: although it showed exFAT as the default format, and copied smaller files fine, it refused a 4.05GB file. The whole point of exFAT, of course, is that it can hold such files. However, a Quick Format to the exFAT default removed that problem and it is now working fine. Note that, before doing this, I created a directory and copied the files that were on the device to another drive and then copied them back in case I ever need them. Not doing this would cause them to disappear when the reformat was done. This is a hard plastic device which works with a USB 3.0 powered hub and Windows 11 at works as expected (once formatted): plug it in and move files to it. Or from it, for that matter.

Don't buy something cheaper & tell your self, "Wow, I just saved $2" & then 6 months later the cheap thumb drive you bought wont work & you lose all your data on it, you haven't saved anything & lost even more.
