Way cheaper than the officially branded collar
For half the price of the lens' original collar, you get basically the same exact product. Follow the instructions when installing it, paying special attention to aligning the marks on the collar and lens. For people wondering, you must remove the rubber ring from the lens first in order to install the collar. Once installed, this is a sturdy product that I feel confident will keep my lens secured. I have used it on multiple shoots on a rapid sling strap and on a tripod. Not once have I worried it wouldn't hold my lens properly. Seriously, get this one and take the extra money you would have spent on the manufacturer's collar and go buy a lens filter or two. More bang for your buck!

Why wasn't this originally included?
Easy to setup, it fits perfectly as I would've imagined, aligns very well and is perfect! It's very smooth to replace the plastic piece on it, but I'd recommend to also keep that piece just incase you need to resell. Overall, instead of paying like $200, just buy this!

Great quality, just didn't fit with my particular tripod. (Ulanzi ZERO F38)
I have the Ulanzi ZERO F38, this did NOT fit into the bracket. As for the collar itself, it seems heavy duty, and sturdy, when mounted on my lens. All metal construction. If it fit my tripod, I'd definitely keep this. Edit: Ulanzi now offers a new plate as a separate purchase. If used on the Ulanzi tripod, you use it in one direction, if on Peak Design gear, you use it in a different direction. Itโs ridiculous this has to be paid for as a separate item, itโs like ~20 bucks it should be included for free, or upon purchasing the tripod get a free coupon. So annoyed with this purchase already, and have a bad taste in my mouth for Ulanzi products. Remember, this tripod came out in August - without a ball head - asthe Y model, I think it was called. Then just last month, this F38 model comes out with the ball head. Itโs easy to show that Ulanzi engineers arenโt forward thinking, so buyers beware.

Much needed for this telephoto lens
Ok, I have had this collar installed for about 2 months and it is a necessity for a lens this big. This lens fully extended looks like a modern age bazooka. With that being said, I recommend one of these if you are doing photography via tripod. It takes a lot of stress off the eMount body. Now, I wish Sigma would provide these via the maunfacturer with the lens, but this is relatively inexpensive compared to the name brand one. I still honestly think it cost a bit more than it should, but Sigma drove the price up for the 3rd party mfg. Overall, its a nominal price you pay for protection to the camera body, lens, and usability via tripod. I definitely recommend one if you have this 100-400mm lens. Time will tell on durability, but it feels that it was made well.

Very good quality and works perfectly
So far, I have only had good impressions of this accessory. Its movement is smooth and fluid when switching from horizontal to vertical. Keep in mind that it does not have stops, so the plane may be tilted and you have to use the guides printed on the accessory as a guide.

Well constructed, great price
I purchased this lens collar tripod mount for the Sigma 100-400mm f5-6.3 DG DN OS e mount lens. It is very well constructed and reasonably price. To install remove rubber ring from lens. Loosen the lens collar. Rotate the collar to find the right alignment for the raised screws on the lens and notches in the collar. This will not be the proper final position so do not freak out. There is an inner groove that these screws set in. Rotate the collar to it's proper position aligning the white lines at the top of the lens and collar then tighten the thumb screw. The collar is designed this way with an inner groove to help lock the collar in place.

Excellent Fit for Sigma 100-400
I ordered the Sigma 100-400mm DG DN OS lens and added this as an alternative to the very pricey Sigma lens collar at 1/3 the cost. No regrets at all. Well constructed, solid feel, and perfect fit. No instructions were included but easy enough to figure out. Comes with an Allen wrench to switch out the base. Only minor quibble is that the white alignment mark on the collar does not quite have the camera level if you align it with the alignment mark on the lens, but that's not a big deal to me. Highly recommend.

Just as good as Sigmaโs
I own both the Sony 100-400mm zoom and the Sigma version of this great focal length. Having done detailed comparison tests, the Sigma is also absolutely superb. Iโm a well-known pro and if you are still considering which lens to buy, hereโs my detailed review: https://www.amazon.com/review/RA16EO4QY2VI6/ref=cm_cr_srp_d_rdp_perm?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B08BHPVZB4 A few diss the Sigma because it doesnโt come with a tripod collar. However, at 40% the cost of the Sony Iโm actually glad it doesnโt. As great as the Sony 100-400 is, the collar does not include an Arca-type quick release, a mistake on Sonyโs part. Enter the Sigma TS-11A collar, ridiculously priced at $130. NOPE! This Haoge LMR-SM140S is just as good and just five ounces. The Arca quick release plate is superior to Sonyโs version, too.

Macht was es soll
Passt.

Purchased for a Sigma zoom lens. Works great.

great deal
Was looking for an alternative to the Sigma overpriced mount that should come with the Lense but does not! maybe a hinged Lense release or a swivel at the mount would make it perfect but hey detach the Lense to remove & use your tripod that it attaches too is easy enough . 4 out of 5 stars
