I am repeating the question regarding lid as there seems to be conflicting answers. Does the lid flip open and attached or is it completely removeable

The lid doesn't flip - it removes completely (pull it off from the top)

Is it made in england

As far as I know there are no Haden kettles made in the UK. I was very disappointed to find this out after we purchased it and it was delivered. As soon as we read on the box made in china we sent it back and got a refund. There is a lot of 'photos and information showing it's UK heritage on the box. Not now made in UK sadly. Get British Industry going again, let's make things HERE and employ UK workers. Why export jobs for the sake of an extra pound of profit. C'mon Mr Dyson or other entrepreneurs make kettles and other appliances here for jobs for our kids

Does this kettle switch off whem boiling?

Yes it switches off when the water is boiled - its a fab kettle .. really pleased with it

Unfortunately black it would be aesthetically be better cream
