So far so good.- value rod
I got mine sept 2020 and am looking to buy more. I hope they did not change quality. Looking at all the 1 star reviews. I took it fishing in california, montana, arizona and belize. Yes the tip is super bendy allowing some fish to set themselves free - pike and bonefish will get off easily. It performs beautifully as long as you don’t try to set the hook like a maniac. Small and big mouth bass, porgy, trout, catfish, bluegill, snapper. Had some snags where I had to yank the lure, hook out of rocks and branches - still works. Aligning the guides takes a while to get used to but gets easier with practice. I also have the blqckhawk which has free floating guides. That is a pain to align. That one has the guides fixed to each segment. It will not replace a fast action or a deep sea fishing rod- you will not be able to catch swordfish with it. But in a pinch, it works. And is fun. Because of the bendy tip you feel uthe fight. I wish kastking would send me some of their products for review. Or at least the missing buttcap - haha I travel a lot. Will be ordering another one and will update here on how it goes. Pros: Portability - can have one in the car all the time Reliable so far Nice feel in hand Light Cons: It takes a little while to get used to casting accurately because of the bendy tip Lost the buttcap No other cons. I enjoy fishing with this rod.

Great price, very transportable, good quality
I bought the 7' medium heavy casting model. The rod collapses down to 17 inches and fits perfectly in a backpack , your luggage and is handy to keep in the car. It has a rubber protector for the eyelets when collapsed and can use the handy cardboard package for extra protection. Very strong and locks in place, great feel and very lightweight but not flimsy. Strong eyelets. I highly recommend this as a travel rod for bass and other similar species. Great value for the price

Great customer Service. UPDATE
Kastking's customer service is great went beyond to take care of me and make it right. I understand that some items slip through, but I will continue to order Kastking with customer service like they are showing to have. That goes a long way with me. Thank you. Product came with parts falling off. It looks to have been glued and not much glue was used.... The beauty ring on the tightening lug for a reel was off when I opened the box. (as you can see in the picture) I believe this product is overpriced for what it is. Hopefully the rod will last after I glue the piece back on. I tried pressing it back on, and it just falls off. You can see the little bit of glue. I was hoping for more from KastKing I have several products that are good from them.

Good for camping.
I purchased this for camping. Not for heavy duty fishing but it is great for stuffing into your backpack and taking camping for smaller fish that you would find in smaller lakes and streams. I would recommend this.

Rod snapped after four months
I had this rod for 4 months and I loved the color and the telescopic feature. It served me well and I caught plenty of fish on it. But while fishing today, I got hung up on a rock and was just doing some jerking to try to free it and SNAP. The pole just broke. It snapped clean across about a foot and a half from the reel. I'm very disappointed. Especially because I am overseas and finding a replacement will be somewhat difficult.

Value and Convenience
Of course the first thing we notice about this rod is the convenience of its retracting feature. It has 6 sections that extend from 16.75 inches to its maximum length of 7.5 feet. I’d bet it will fit in some glove compartments. I previously bought a reel from KastKing and found their quality and workmanship to be admirable and pricing more than justifiable. Frankly, I think they’re underpriced. I will have a better idea of the rod’s action and handling when I get to the water soon, not that it’s getting warmer. After I test it out, you’ll hear from me again. I’m very much looking forward to it. Stay tuned.

Not a bad rod just fragile, broke on the second day of use
I don’t usually do review and I would’ve gave it a higher rating but the rod broke on the second day I took it out. I bought this for my birthday trip to south Florida. I caught a little stingray and a catfish on it so it held up pretty good. I’d give it a better rating if it didn’t snap as fast and it was on my birthday when it broke so that was pretty upsetting. I might end up getting another one but still pretty pissed about it breaking off a rock before the line but all in all a good rod just wish mine didn’t break.

Awesome rod to keep under the truck seat
After driving by too many juicy looking fishing spots because I didn't have rod in my truck, I decided to buy a telescoping rod to keep under the front seat. This thing works great, and collapses down to a very compact size. It's not as sensitive as a high-end one-piece rod, but it is usable for sure. I paired it with Lews Hypermag 3000 spinning reel and it is very well balanced and lightweight. I can't wait to get some bigger bass with this combo once the spring comes. The shipping package was very nice and the rod was well protected. It also included a re-usable plastic piece that fits over the tip and wraps around the rod to protect it and keep it collapsed when you are not using it. I ended up sewing a little leather pouch to keep it in, but the plastic piece that is included would work just fine. I have tried a few other telescoping rods in the past and none of them lasted more than a few outings. This one feels like it will last a long time. I'll update the review if I run into any issues, but for now, 5 Stars!
