Twist-Off Bottle Opener for Weak Hands & Seniors with Arthritis

This jar bottle opener is so easy to use. I have arthritis in my hands and wrist and had been using one. I bought four years earlier This product is so much easier to use than my old one. Would definitely recommend it for anyone with impaired wrist or hand movement!! It’s easy to grip, because of the design it handles all size of jars or bottles. Very pleased will definitely buy a second one.

I was looking for something to help my wife open her daily protein water, especially when I am not available. These things are a bear for me to open even with full hand strength, so she has no chance with her grip issues and tremors. I checked a lot of openers, both hand-held and under-cabinet mount. Most of the hand-held are massive and expensive, which is great if you are opening a giant jar of pickles but not real helpful for sports drink sized caps. When I saw this little gem I was a bit skeptical since it was small and has a plastic handle. Something told me to give it a try. When I received it an opened the package I was pleasantly surprised that the plastic handle is really stout (not hollow, possibly melamine) and feels good in the hand. I tried it out first, seemed to be quite a bit easier to open a bottle. Let my wife know it was in the fridge with her drinks, waited for feedback. Several days later she held it up for me to see and proclaimed it was fantastic. I watched her use it and it only took moderate strength to crack the lid open, haven't had to help her since. Happy wife, happy life! Liked it so much I just ordered a second one for my mother. Might even get one for my desk at work, for the occasional vending machine visit.

I’ve been having pains opening up bottles with my bare hands. This has been a lifesaver opens up bottles tops very easy.

The item is great! However the delivery was not on time. I rarely need it on an exact date, but this time I did. For hard to open Gatorade or waters this device is a life saver!

The perfect size for those of us who need one of these at hand for the tea and other small beverages that help us stay hydrated. Its modest size means it can just stay on my counter all day without looking like something else I forgot to put away. (I have a big one tucked away for those fat jars of sauerkraut, for example.). This one works perfectly for everyday beverages and comes in different colors—mine’s bright yellow.

I was skeptical of this item after wasting money on a boxed set of fancier type openers. But I have used this opener on larger jars such as pickled beets with easy success. No fussy knobs or clamps to adjust, just a simple leveraged gripper. It is not flimsy, it is made of a sturdy, heavier type of plastic sort of like melamine. Anyone who can break this should probably upscale to the metal version. For me, it's just fine and surely is better than trying to break the vacuum seal by bashing the jar lid on the countertop! Am so pleased with this item I gave it its own place to hang on the wall by the sink.

I wasn’t expecting it to be so effective. Probably the best bottle-opening device I’ve ever used. Seems to work on any twisting lid that has those little vertical ridges/grooves. Would buy again as a gift.
