Older vehicle Flasher FOR LED'S, GREAT!
The media could not be loaded. I would be uploading more footage of the rest of the car with the LED'S, but Amazon only allows 1 video upload, silly. On 60's era Chryslers, you need to swap the flasher plug wires to make the flasher work with LED'S. Black wire swapped to the red wire and the red wire swapped to the black wire.(LED's & the electronic flasher is polarity sensitive, swap the flasher wiring *black & red wires*, should work then)The ground wire is necessary, secure to a good ground.pros: allows older vehicles to run LED'S, LOWER AMPERAGE, GOOD!with the updated electronic flasher. - the stock electro-mechanical flasher will not work LED'S.Cons: not much really. Aside from the lighting is not "stock" from the purist's standpoint.

It Works.... loudly.
You don't need an electrical engineering degree or detailed instructions to just plug one of these in. It works perfectly but has a much louder noise than my stock flasher, not an issue for me though since I installed it on a motorcycle... good luck hearing it while my bike is running! You need to run the extra wire on this flasher to a grounding point on your vehicle (or any negative wire). The flasher needs a ground wire because it's a tiny computer (which needs it's own power, thus ground) rather than your stock resistance flasher (which heated up to 'pop' the circuit open, then cooled to come back on). Since LED bulbs don't use enough power to heat a resistance flasher.... they just don't flash. But this unit installed and works great on two of my bikes so far.

Perfect fit/function, much cheaper than auto parts store.
Received part quickly and it worked perfectly.

LED conversion project -
I bought this flasher for my Yamaha RD400 restoration project on the recommendation from a 2 stroke forum. After upgrading the turn signals to LED, the stock flasher would no longer operate because of the reduction in amps in the new units. My old flasher was three prong so there was two ways to plug this unit in to my wiring harness. Of course I plugged them in the wrong the first try and nothing happened. I repositioned to the second option and they flashed perfectly. I am very very happy.

May need to re-wire
This flasher worked great to solve the no flash condition with LED’s on my 87 Ford L9000 but as other reviewers pointed out I had to reverse the wiring on the factory 2 prong harness in addition to a proper ground wire.

Perfect flash rate
Flasher works great! After trying two other grounded LED flashers and being disappointed in their flash rate(way to fast) I decided to give this one a shot, and it's perfect. Flashes at about 70 fpm vs 110/120 with the others.

Needs at least a one amp load or it won't work.
The LED lights must take at LEAST 1 amp for this unit to work. While a resistor can be added to increase the current, doing so means that you can just add the resistor and keep the old mechanical flasher. The one-amp rating is listed but is buried down in the small print, hence the three stars.

works great for semis
Works great in my peterbilt. Have all led all the way around, trailer too, and they blink at a normal pace now as opposed to before when they used to blink at crack speed. Must be grounded to work.

Cured my hyperflash problem
I am using a Speedway universal wiring harness on my '88 Chevrolet. When I used the flasher with the kit I got hyperflash on the turn signal..installed the grote flasher and it put it at the correct flash rate.

Exactement comme la description
Fonctionne très bien, cela a résolu mon problème.

Still needs resistance.
Grote makes quality stuff. Three stars because the 1 mininum is not in the description. Still had to leave the regular lamps in my turn signal indicators on the dash to make it work. Could have also added resistors.
