I love this steamer, it is well designed, looks great, and does not scratch nonstick pans. However, this is my second one, because it will melt if you let all the water in a pan evaporate. I made that mistake but was able to remove the ruined steamer and clean the pan, but still, it is a danger. We got a new induction stovetop and I'm still getting used to the fact that it heats faster and to much higher temperatures than our old gas stovetop, so the running out of water took me by surprise.

very cool, updated style "has ring instead of knob to lift' this way you can use a spoon or something to lift ....... best of all won't scratch your pots like the stainless steel ones......been using these for years , easy to clean and store, can't go wrong here ......

Although in general I am trying to get away from plastic, I like this little guy. 1 star off only because the little coverings on the "feet" fall off all the time and I have to stick em back on.. when I can find them.

This is a well made steamer basket. The material is durable & easy to clean. This has rubber-like feet to avoid scratching cookware. UPDATE ——- The legs on this steamer basket melted after used 3 times. I didn’t see or read anything that stated what temperature to use this on. I wouldn’t buy again & I would not recommend anyone to buy this.

We had this steamer before for a few years and loved it. This one doesn't stay closed as well as the other when putting it in and taking it out of the pot.

These are great and will not scratch your pots! Also can be put in the dishwasher.
