Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan
I chose the 5 star review because I feel Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand wrote a book that honestly tried to present events as they happened. The didn't try to nfluence our thinking, but presented the facts as they were and allowed us to make our on conclusions based on the evidence presented.I must admit that I feel the separation from the RF was rather harsh in it's handling of the Sussexes situation and more understanding could have been applied. I was very disappointed in the behavior of certain members of the RF, especially Catherine and William. So much more could have been done by Kate to ease Meghan into royal life. After all, she came from commoner stock also and suffer terribly at the hands of the press and public. This should have engendered compassion and empathy on their part for what Meghan had to face. She came with no training, with an American set of values. It would have been so little effort to help guide her, but nothing was done and years went by with no overtures to Meghan, though there had been plenty of time. I am confused trying to figure Catherine out. I also was appalled by her, William's, and Sophie's behhavior at the Commonwealth Services. It brought low the respect millions felt for those three. I am so glad so many of the lies, accusations, and assumptions have been cleared up. Now it's up to the people to decide whether they will continue to be jackasses. But I will say, the way the British press and people acted towards this couple has irrevocably changed people's minds about Britons. I admire the Queen for her effirts to work things out, but I feel things went too far in many cases. Harry is the son of the line and royal heir, and as such should continue his use of HRH, as well as his honarary titles and commissions. To take those away was somewhat petty to me; a further attempt to degrade them. There are plenty royals engaged in work besides royal activities, that have been allowed to continue using their HRH titles as well as having been appointed to some duties. It seems that some were determined to turn backs in the Sussexes no matter what. Case in point: Andrew still uses his HRH title but no longer works for the RF. I hope H&M allows Archie to have all his titles, for he will need them to carry on the work they started. It will not spoil him if allowed. By living the majority time in the US, I think Archie will come to see how useless a title is, and it's what you do that counts. Nevertheless, his titles will open doors he will need to carry on. Thank you Omid and Carolyn for a well written book I finished in one day, for trying to stick to the facts, and for debunking so many of the lies told, and the reprehensible actions of the RR. It is my fervent wish that Britain eventually place some heavy restrictions on the them, because as of now, their estate seems to be stronger and have more power than those above them, to the point of some fearing them.' Harry and Meghan will do well. Eventually, life will settle and hopefully they can devote their time to charitable pursuits. But I must say, Britain, you have lost two very important assets. This time "Britain's loss is America's gain".

Book gives both sides of controversies and reader can decide what to believe.
The book is worth the read. It took me 3 days to read through it. It seems kind of 2 books in 1. The first 16 Chapters is written more like a love story. It goes into their background and how they met. It follows their relationship up to their marriage. If you follow Meghan a lot of the info came from her old blog and varies articles written about her. Some of the more intimate details probably came from her girlfriends because in the book it mentioned she like getting together with her friends to drink and chat. It doesn’t throw the Royal family under the bus as reported. It gives both sides to their disagreements and let’s the reader figure out which team they are on. Which is the best quality. The authors don’t give their opinions. Meghan even goes as far as call Prince Charles a second dad. The difference with this book than the rest is it gives Meghan a humanistic quality with feelings and emotions. It reminds us that money can’t buy happiness. The reason for the 4 stars and not five was there was a lot of flowery visual imagery by the authors and I was anxious to get to the meat of the book. Also you can tell when they made their decision to step back was a add on to the book. It changed from the love story to combating the tabloid gossip. The book sorts out the fiction vs nonfiction in some popular tabloid stories. A lot of people commenting the first day of release didn’t read the book. Their comments are more about the subject than the what’s in the book. A lot of controversy how much Megan and Harry have to do with the book. To me it does not matter. I welcome their version. The truth usually lay somewhere in the middle.

A disturbing brief look into a very complicated family
Interesting insights into the inner conflicts of a royal family’s struggle with business, love , hierarchy , global influence and destiny. After Harry’s announcement Prince Charles revealed to Harry that the new streamlined Monarchy intended to always include him. The book astutely pointed out that Harry’s place in the monarchy was short lived because William’s son would take his rightful place as the third in line to the throne leaving Harry in the margins just like his uncles before him. This was not lost on Harry. One can understand Harry’s desperate need to keep Meghan from bolting out of his life because of the media onslaught by protecting her, and in his wife he saw an opportunity to escape into a new life. To deny the reality that certain members of the Royal family and certain courtiers have racial biases or at the very least, prejudices, is naive and foolish. Meghan is not like the rest, she loves the spotlight and the upper class always viewed actresses as being morally challenged. Meghan didn’t stand a chance, HOWEVER Harry did not take the advice from those closest to him. William spent years courting Kate and her intentions were tested time and again and she emerged without blemish from all the traps set before her but even that did not protect her from being a tabloid target regardless Kate prevailed in the end. Perhaps if Meghan stuck it out the tabloids would have cooled down but as we have seen it was not to be. Lurking within Meghan is a lifeforce that she cannot silence, to be a Royal is to NOT BE ONESELF, you are to be a part of England. These royals live dual lives, for instance Harry had lunch with the Queen and understood at that time it was not a meeting between between a Queen and a Prince but rather grandmother and grandson. There was no announcement of that fact, it was an understanding of two people who are immersed in this strange reality that they were born into, how can a normal outsider coming into this family grasp this little nuance? These royals also are always working on each of their own publicity and hierarchy always holds power. The drama behind the scenes must have been a royal hot mess. Reading this book I believe that everyone is to blame, H&M, the Royals, courtiers, the media, her trashy family and the public. I am sure there could’ve been an even darker book surrounding all the palace intrigues but I’m sure that would never see the light of day. Time reveals all truth, even if Meghan and Harry may seem like outcasts now at least they have this side of the story out therefor all to read.

Preciosa edición
The media could not be loaded.

An eye opening and candid portrait of the Sussexes life together so far
The authors of Finding Freedom (as obviously authorised by) Harry and Meghan, have brilliantly set the record straight with an eye opening and candid portrait of the Sussexes life together so far. The British tabloids and press have always been lethal, brutal and vulture-like and you can't always believe everything reported by them as fact. As soon as the beautiful, intelligent, self-assured Meghan came on the scene she was scrutinised with any minor detail being picked up on. After 4 years is it any wonder she and Harry had issues with the press which had come to a head? No matter what they did or said they were picked on. Granted it also didn't help that there were issues within 'the firm' with private information being leaked intentionally by palace staff or courtiers. Is it any wonder that they wanted to live their own lives under their own terms, without any interference or constraints from 'the firm' or the press, and manage their own destiny, their own projects, and their own publicity?I have always favoured Harry from the moment he was born. He was always the mischievous one yet lived in his brother's shadow. Yes he was a spare but he is now nowhere near an heir, but that's another book. In my mind Meghan became his saviour. You can see they love and respect each other very much. They should be allowed to live their own lives without intrusion and finance their way through life as they see fit. We have already seen how gracious they are and how they give a lot of thought to their actions. The Sussexes have 2 beautiful children and do a lot of good with their respective charity work and projects. It is only right they be applauded and recognised not vilified. The authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand are duly qualified to write about their subjects, having had years of reporting and travelling with the Royal family under their belts. Their knowledge and style of writing is impeccable. I loved the elegant stylised type font and all the photos. In my view a real classy book!

A Real Life Story of Love and Triumph
There was so much gossip about these two and how they were not fitting in and taking a lot of missteps. This book tells of what really happened and how they had no other choice to get out of the UK. The stories are real and backed up by all households. I had a feeling that the Royal Reporters were not being honest, but not to this extent. In this case I am glad the Sussex's left for their son, their mental health and it would have only gotten worse if they stayed. They are thriving now and doing what they were called to do. I knew of Meghan beforehand, and with Prince Harry, well, he is so much like his mom who I will always idolize. Good book and one I had a hard time putting down. A very easy read and you don't have to know anything about the Royal Family to read it or understand it.
